paxchristi3 - > Shining the light of the Catholic faith on the Culture of Death -> That fox thought he could get Catholics behind Obamacare
That fox thought he could get Catholics behind Obamacare

But it looks like he backfired on his calculation that he could win the support of the bishops by coming to Notre Dame's graduation ceremony and receiving an honorary doctorate (for what, I don't know, just like I don't know what the hell he got the Nobel Peace Prize for except maybe by getting the mainstream media to behave and be his personal stenographer). Now out of desperation, his staff is resorting to lies to discredit the bishops as well as have them believe that Obamacare is no wolf in sheep's clothing.

By his trip to Notre Dame he forced many Catholic (including clergy) to reassess what it means to be Catholic.

Yes, they must have done the same reassessing that a conservative church group did when they took out all of the so-called "liberal" passages of the Bible.

If one has to be a Catholic, it's impossible to be a Republican.  Jesus would never, *EVER* approve of most of the stances of the Republican Party.

All you do is cling to the abortion issue.  And although Jesus would probably object to it, he wouldn't ban it, nor make it the entirety of his philosophical platform.

Pax, you are quite possibly the worst Catholic on the planet.

My apologies to my Catholic parents whom are pro-choice, pro-science, and pro-healthcare.  I'm sorry that you share a religion with this pax fellow.  Forgive him, for he knows not what he does.

But you raised one heckuva son!!!

"And to think all of that could hinge on a miscalculated trip to South Bend, Indiana."

lol Don't give yourself too much credit there...

You don't know why the president got a degree from Notre Dame. You don't know why he got a Nobel prize. Have you looked up the reasons from the people who made the decisions? You may not agree with them but I don't think they will say it's because the president controls the media or his staff discredits catholic bishops.

So, DJ, I take it that your folks are of the Pelosi strain: http://www.calcatholic.com/...

Please accept my sympathies. To them, Pope John Paul II must be the worst person ever.
