Seeing the light

Hat tip to the Creative Minority Report for this post:

KBTX is reporting an amazing story that an executive director at a local Planned Parenthood has resigned after viewing an ultrasound of an abortion procedure.

Abby Johnson had worked at PP for about eight years.

"I just thought I can't do this anymore, and it was just like a flash that hit me and I thought that's it," said Johnson.

She handed in her resignation October 6. Johnson worked as the Bryan Planned Parenthood Director for two years.

According to Johnson, the non-profit was struggling under the weight of a tough economy, and changing it's business model from one that pushed prevention, to one that focused on abortion.

"It seemed like maybe that's not what a lot of people were believing any more because that's not where the money was. The money wasn't in family planning, the money wasn't in prevention, the money was in abortion and so I had a problem with that," said Johnson.

Johnson said she was told to bring in more women who wanted abortions, something the Episcopalian church goer recently became convicted about.

"I feel so pure in heart (since leaving). I don't have this guilt, I don't have this burden on me anymore that's how I know this conversion was a spiritual conversion."

Amazing. Johnson now joins the Coalition for Life members who pray outside the building.

So Planned Parenthood is telling local directors to ditch family planning and concentrate on abortions. But remember, they're not pro-abortion. Nobody's pro-abortion, right?

Also remember all that taxpayer money that's going towards Planned Parenthood for "family planning services" but supposedly not for abortion, well what do they say now that a PP director is saying that PP is downplaying family planning and pushing abortions?

Now one interesting note to watch is that Planned Parenthood had issued a temporary restraining order on Johnson which I'm unsure what that's about.

Rochelle Tafolla, a Planned Parenthood spokesperson issued the following statement: "We regret being forced to turn to the courts to protect the safety and confidentiality of our clients and staff, however, in this instance it is absolutely necessary."

Could it be that perhaps Johnson knows something that Planned Parenthood doesn't want out?

According to the news, the order contends that Planned Parenthood "would be irreparably harmed by the disclosure of certain information."

By the way, the Rev. Walter Hoye will be in town tonight:

When Pastor Walter Hoye steps onto the sidewalk outside an abortion center, he makes headlines.

Pastor Walter HoyeBut more importantly, God uses his simple witness to save lives.  As he shared last night to the hundreds of people gathered for our 40 Days for Life Closing Celebration, a black pastor ministering outside an abortion chamber gets the attention of women who would easily ignore you or me.

This morning at 10 am, Pastor Hoye will be on the streets of Bakersfield, standing outside our local abortion center at 25th and H, seeking to allow God to use him to save those being led to the slaughter.  Please consider joining him in this public witness for the lives of children and their mothers.

Then take an hour tonight to hear Pastor Hoye's simple strategy for ending abortion in the state of California.  We will meet with him at New Beginnings Christian Church, 1800 Height Street, from 6 to 7 pm.  The church is located behind the Lowe's on Columbus Street and the FoodsCo on Haley St.  (Click here for directions.)

The tide is turning -- abortion is on the way out.  Will you be a part of making history?  I hope so.

In Christ's service for those who cannot speak for themselves,

The tide is turning -- abortion is on the way out.

Thank the nonexistent god you're wrong about that.   Except as regards the increasing availability of another blessing from the nonexistent heaven, safe and effective contraceptives.

A 10 day old baby was murdered this week by parents who didn't want him.    Clearly these people should not have brought a baby to term.

Abortion in one form or another, has and always will be with us.

Abortion in one form or another, has and always will be with us.

Thank Zeus.  Many, many times it's the best moral choice.

And the anti-abortion crowd knows it.  They just want to keep *OTHER* people from having abortions:

Hypocrisy!  But it keeps them straight with God.

Hypocrisy!  But it keeps them straight with God.

Who according to their mythology performs more abortions every year than have *EVER* been done in the US by doctors.

The hypocrites worship a hypocrite?  How...predictable.

Yes, he's the top abortionist in the world.  Not to mention the oldest serial killer.

Getting a little big for your britches, eh?

Who?  God?

His god don't wear britches.  But that's a theological puzzler, isn't it?  "Can god make a  pair of britches so big that he himself can't get too big for them?"

Paging Thomas Aquinas...

Audrey, the simple solution to the parents who killed the 10-day-baby is to throw them in the slammer. Clearly they should not have killed a baby. Oh, the mind of a liberal ...

Audrey, the simple solution to the parents who killed the 10-day-baby is to throw them in the slammer.

And that's what *WILL* be done, after a trial.

Better still would have been an early-term abortion.

I see that the murderer who gunned down St. George Tiller isn't going to get his eBay auction bonanza.  Putting the anti-abortion movement and the Nazis on an equal footing...as it should be.

Got to see the Rev. Walter Hoye tonight. Little did I realize he is THE guy behind the initiative to amend California's Constitution to bestow personhood on everyone from those whose life begins at conception (a fact proven by science) to those who die naturally. The L.A. Times recently reported on his efforts: http://www.latimes.com/news...

Perhaps it's a quixotic quest, but if David can slay Goliath, why not the pro-lifers?

Pax: what is your solution? do you not believe at all in abortion? and if there is unwanted children what do with them? Do you believe in contraceptions?
