Baguette trips Large Hadron Collider

Yep, just another thing that makes you go "hmmm." Sam Heath will find this interesting as I did, especially considering it was recently theorized that some particles are coming back from the future to keep the collider from discovering them: http://www.popsci.com/scien...

One of the jokes was that the particles may cause a janitor to trip over the collider's power cord just in time.

Thanks Pax. Fascinating to speculate about such things. Helps keep your mind agile.

Maybe this 'machine' just isn't meant to work................ya think? Sometimes I think we push 'science' too far. Why can't we spend those billions of dollars here on this planet and get things 'fixed' here before we try to bombard other planets? I.E., blasting a rocket to the moon to punch a hole in it.

Old saying and you know it's true WP: Follow the money.

Boy that is the truth Sam!  I wish I had some of that money to follow!!

Well, money or no, science or no, somebody higher then us will take care of it! Mother Nature will do what she will with the weather, air, water, ice flow, etc whether we like it or not.  If the ice is melting, it is not "gobal warming" it is as it is supposed to be at this point in time of this planet.  There have been ice ages and then the reverseal of that and back again.  The difference is, that humans are making money (greed) by spreading this garbage around this time, which in and of itself will be the destruction of this planet.

As has already been demonstrated.

Well said, WP. Indeed, we still have yet to learn the lesson of the Tower of Babel.
