Day trips in Kern County
My husband and I like to discover the cool scenery that Kern County has to offer. We enjoy riding the back roads to discover new and interesting places. I am an amateur photographer and would like to share some of my pictures with you from our excursions. Every day is a new day of discovery!

Anyone who has new puppies knows that almost everything you own is fair game for being chewed apart and ripped to pieces.  That being said, we thought we mostly had the 4 month old terrier pups under control until this morning when we went out on the patio and noticed little pieces of shredded plastic bags on the back patio.  It seems they'd found the small packets of seeds in a little red wagon.  We'd been storing them there for our spring garden we had not yet planted.  Hundreds of miscellaneous vegetable and flower seeds were everywhere, and the packets they come in were shredded into unrecognizable pieces.   On top of that, the dogs had torn into a large bag of potting soil and half of the contents were spilled out on the concrete.

We  decided that maybe the dogs were trying to tell us something so,  after thinking about it for a while, we sent the rascals back into the kitchen for lock down. We then went back outside to sweep  and spread the unknown seeds into the small garden area next to the patio.  When we had finished, we put a nice topping of  potting soil on top of the seeds.

While we were laughing about our new mystery garden, we moistened the soil with a soft  spray of water.
