Don Herbert, TV's 'Mr. Wizard,' dies at 89 in Southern California

(I saw him once in-person at my college.  He asked for a show of hands as to how many people knew some basic fact of magnetism, then said "Put your hands down!  You're all WRONG!")

You know, that's what's wrong with this country today.  The closest thing we have to Mr. Wizard is Mythbusters, and they don't exactly cover basic science.

Show of hands--How many of you people out there believe in Creationism?  Put your hands down!  You're all WRONG!
