What's a raw report?

Every day the Californian newsroom gets anywhere from a couple to a dozen press releases from local police and fire departments. For most of these we do some reporting and write them up for our web and print readers.

Now we're gonna start posting the raw press releases so you all can see the source material. That way you'll be in the know on everything breaking news-related, whether we write it up or not.

We'll also be adding some links along the left to some crime-related sites and packages that we think breaking news junkies might like.
