Criminy...A gang in LI is almost too funny for words. Who will they fight with? The Kernville Road Dogs? Or maybe they'll wait for Whiskey Flat Days when a gazillian bikers invade the valley and they can start a turf war. Every time a gang member is released form prison it increases the gang numbers in your neighborhood..or city. Turn 'em all loose and let them kill each other off....just keep your head down. edited. By the way..I'm sure that's great news for the Kern Valley Chamber of Commerce since tourism is all they have up there and biker gangs will scare the tourists off. posted by

Vagos Outlaw Motorcycle GangDepending upon where you live in the U.S., many people have heard of the big major outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMG): Hells’ Angels, Bandidos, Outlaws, and Pagans. In S. Ca the predominant OMG’s are the Hells’ Angels and the Mongols. I’ve previously blogged on the Mongols. Read it here. I wrote on the HA here. Lesser known are the Vagos, a particularly ratty group of individuals periodically at odds or in cahoots with the HA’s and Mongols. The Vagos are found in CA, Oregon, Colorado and Hawaii. Like the rest of their OMG brethren, the Vagos members engage in all manner of crimes. The ATF just concluded a 2 or 3 year investigation which culminated in a massive roundup with search warrants and arrests. Read about it here. (from the Simi Valley Sophist) posted by

Note the ethnic makeup. Mostly Anglo, overweight, older hillbillies. No leathers, not even mc boots. These guys are BAD! (just ask 'em) RF could have infiltrated this bunch. (You know, when he was undercover brother) posted by

Not sure how this sleeping bear of a blog got awoken, but since it did: Wiki Says: The Vagos Motorcycle Club, also known as the Green Nation, is a one-percenter motorcycle gang that was formed in San Bernardino, California during the 1960's. The club's insignia is Loki, the Norse god of mischief, riding a motorcycle and members commonly wear green. The Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have named the Vagos as an Outlaw Motorcycle Club, claiming that they are involved in criminal activities such as producing, transporting and distributing methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as assault, extortion, insurance fraud, money laundering, murder, vehicle theft, witness intimidation and weapons violations. The Vagos have approximately 300 members among 24 chapters located in the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and three chapters located in Mexico. I saw a pretty large group of them last week, heading north on 99 from olive drive, overnight bags packed ... they all looked old and ratty, maybe having trouble recruiting young bucks? My hubby knows alot more about them, than i do ~ some interesting tidbits. posted by
