Details:   An unidentified  Hispanic male pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck in the
intersection of Kern/3rd Street in Taft, CA about 1815 hours on February 16, 2008 and
expired from his injuries en route to Mercy Southwest Hospital.  The Hispanic male had
no identification and fingerprint analysis failed to confirm his identity.   The Hispanic male
was small in stature and wore blue jeans, tan work boots, and a tan leather belt.  Prior to the
accident, he was observed running northbound on 3rd Street, south of Kern Street.  We are
requesting possible leads to his identity or where he may live.
