Is it because they were ashamed they were spending all that money fouling the environment? Why so much anti-transparency?? Seriously. Did that really happen. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars did the Whitehouse just burn up "updating" file photos of Air Force One? How many tons of CO2 did they inject into the atmosphere? And tell me, how much has Air Force One and the Statue of Liberty changed in the last several years?? Wow, another waste of taxpayers money... No wonder the world hates us. I just couldn't let this go. Looks like the teleprompter (the actual device, not the person) has the flu. Can't quite keep up with the reader. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms. Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars. http://washingtontimes.com/...
