Elemental Disruption

"Most people go through life dreading they'll have a traumatic experience. Freaks were born with their trauma. They've already passed their test in life. They're aristocrats." Diane Arbus

My life seems to operate sideways~ backwards almost~ and I have come to see thats right for me. A rain of snakes, disruption that cause's growth ,the world split in two.Everyone has there own path, mine has been one of thought, mostly of things folks today seem to disregard. Truth, personal integrity,politeness,...not all eschew these things. For me its been the easiest way to be~ any other way leads me to more trouble..and a sense of humor, above all about myself. Laughter keeps a person sane, and I enjoy seeing the coyote in myself~ the eternal trickster

Exaggerations in Clinton's Foreign policy Experience

Hillary's Adventures Abroad
We find some exaggerations in Clinton's claims of foreign policy experience.
Summary
On March 6 Hillary Clinton claimed that, unlike Barack Obama, she and likely Republican nominee John McCain have "cross[ed] the commander-in-chief threshold." In a CNN interview the day before, Clinton had listed five foreign policy accomplishments. We can't determine how much behind-the-scenes work Clinton did while first lady, and she certainly took an active interest in foreign policy when her husband was president. Moreover, her time as first lady plus her longer Senate career do give Clinton more foreign policy experience than Obama. But the public record of her actions shows that many of Clinton's foreign policy claims are exaggerated.
  • Clinton claims to have "negotiated open borders" in Macedonia to fleeing Kosovar refugees. But the Macedonian border opened a full day before she arrived, and her meetings with Macedonian officials were too brief to allow for much serious negotiating.
  • Clinton's activities "helped bring peace to Northern Ireland." Irish officials are divided as to how helpful Clinton's actions were, and key players agree that she was not directly involved in any actual negotiations.
  • Clinton has repeatedly referenced her "dangerous" trip to Bosnia. She fails to mention, however, that the Bosnian war had officially ended three months before her visit or that she made the trip with her 16-year-old daughter and two entertainers.
  • Both Bill and Hillary Clinton claim that Hillary privately championed the use of U.S. troops to stop the genocide in Rwanda. That conversation left no public record, however, as U.S. policy was explicitly to stay out of Rwanda, and officials say that the use of U.S. troops was never considered.
  • Clinton's tough speech on human rights delivered to a Beijing audience is as advertised, though Clinton herself has been dismissive of speeches that aren't backed by solutions.

William Safire said it best: Hillary Clinton is a congenital liar.

My wife's voting for HRC (I don't think she'll get the chance myself though)

Interesting times afoot in Chico Household

We finally agreed to quit arguing McCain (me) vs. HRC (her) and just bury the political hatchet

(although the handle is still showing) :D

If you vote GOP or DEM just to vote DEM or GOP you have to sleep at night and is there any of them that have your full confidence in being part of the world now that the US is not the dominate force, it`s a new economic world and a isolationist policy will not succeed nowdays, a back lash is in the making and Bush has timed his departure well, I do not think anyone who takes over will go down in history as a great President, too much trash to clean up and throw out, from both the DEM and GOP, Just built up trash that everyone else sweep under the carpet and it`s overflowing now......

And Safire's been so reliable of late:

Safire was one of several voices who called for war with Iraq, and predicted a "quick war," with Iraqis cheering their liberators. Many readers who followed his columns in the New York Times felt dismayed when he consistently brought up the point that Iraqi intelligence agents met with the 9/11 attackers in Prague, Czech Republic. This theory had been debunked by the CIA and other credible intelligence agencies. Still Safire kept insisting that this theory was true and used it to make a case for war against Iraq.

In his annual "office pool" predictive column last year he got 12 out of 15 wrong.

I have listened  to my spouse talk about her work (doctor) for over a decade.  I have been to some drug rep seminars.  I have been to her office.  I have over 13 years experience in doing these things.  I, therefore, am more than qualified to be your surgeon.

Same argument Hillary is making...

And Safire's been so reliable of late:

Means nothing. He could have been wrong every other time in his entire journalistic career, and it wouldn't change the fact that what he said about Hillary was right on the money. Naturally, Bill wanted to pop Safire in the nose, because Safire is an old man. Had a guy like Tim Russert  - who is noticeably larger and four years younger than Bill -  said the very same thing, Clinton wouldn't have dared to threaten him, not even through the grapevine like he did with Safire, because Russert more than likely would have accepted the offer and twisted Bill's head around 180 degrees until he squealed "uncle."

If you vote GOP or DEM just to vote DEM or GOP you have to sleep at night

Maggie, I might just do what I did in 2004: Not vote for either one.

In accordance with the country's penchant to elect actors, the argument is valid. We elect actors whose only political or governmental leadership experience is "playing" one on TV.

Hillary was at least sleeping with a real president and got to hang out with a front row seat while real governmental stuff was going down.

Now there's a ringing endorsement!

McCain for POTUS!

There are alot of good things that can be said of Hillary. Taking her at her word with trust is not one of them.

No, Chico, McBush for FLOTUS.  Or maybe FLATUS.

.

JBS, when given the opportunity to observe at relatively close range a *TRUE* pathological liar (George Walker Bush) he couldn't identify him as such.  Speaks to his credibility on the issue.
