Funny, I was thinking the same thing, that the Dems should stay home but if they insist on voting they should remember that Dem election day has been changed to the first Wed. in November. posted by

http://www.rasmussenreports... Where's the bounce? Oh well, Pelosi's not worried.................. She knows what Loretta Sanchez did to Bob Dornan in Orange County years ago. You see, you can "leverage" Dem votes by illegals casting votes as bought/told and they (as well as other Dems) can vote early and often. This election will be a travesty of voter fraud. And it won't be Republicans.

Sorry George, you were part of the problem. And, you were wrong A democratic society where everyone is guaranteed one vote is all we have. And so far, it's been the best system the world has to offer. Consider the alternatives, like a militaristic regime in Africa. Bitching and moaning is the problem. Not the public and not the right to vote. I hope you made a bundle on the sale of this "comedy" routine. posted by

Even after the negated votes were counted, Sanchez won by a little over a hundred votes. I would have picked Dornan over Rohrabacher though, regardless of his homophobia. Rohrbacher thinks global warming is a condom. posted by

Oh! and I suppose George Carlin made a living by being objective. Give me a break! Most of his routines were about divisiveness. So I guess my taking exception to his sour puss brand of comedy makes me judgmental. And you judging me makes you what?????? posted by

Yes I did. Carlin contradicted himself once he found a candidate worthy of his one lousy vote.
BTW Not ONE of his remarks about baby boomers pertains to me. I didn't do drugs. I wasn't high for 20 years. I didn't suck off of society. I don't condemn people who are addicts. I don't drink soy milk or walk on a treadmill. I don't have stocks. Baby boomers were his first audience, back before he turned bitter. What an ingrate. posted by

They didn't say he was going to vote just said he was inspiring..however he could have been suffering from dementia so close to passing... *grin* I had hoped it might have made you relax your opinion of him since he was speaking positive about your candidate..actually Ive never ran into someone that felt the way you do..not everyone agreed wit Carlin BUT he made you THINK..he full filled his purpose in life with great zest up until he died.. I can't say that about many people these days.. posted by

A friend of mine said during the last Presidential Elections that "God would give us the leader we deserve." to which I replied "I know that is what scares me." I seldom get involved in political discussions myself. It seems to be another form of escapism to uselessly argue politics and critiquing leaders instead of living life and doing something constructive. Also as I matured I came to realize that government is made up of men and all men are flawed. That is why we have to pray for Divine guidance ,because since the days of Adam and Eve we have done nothing ,but made a mess of things. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over even though it doesn't work. posted by

I didn't find much about Carlin to like in his later years. He was soooo negative and his imagery was ugly. And I always had the sneaking suspicion that his act was overshadowed by his rebellious persona after his censorship battles. He was acting to the act. He did fight to have the right to perform the way he saw fit. And won. Every other word out of his mouth was the f word. This added about 10 minutes to his act. Time that he didn't have to fill with clever material. Did his censorship victory really change the way we communicate. We still can't write the F word (or a long list of other words) on this blog so what did he really accomplish. Except to get rich, I mean.

Not only is god black, Chico, she's gay. . A friend of mine said during the last Presidential Elections that "God would give us the leader we deserve." to which I replied "I know that is what scares me." If I believed in any god, I'd say the past two elections show she doesn't like America very much. Carlin got funny again towards the end, as far as I can tell. . What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over even though it doesn't work. And the last time the Church changed its methods was...when? posted by

Carlin was a little bitter, but the world needs guys like him to make us reflect on our own opinions.
