While Bernhard is out of control and in no way speaks for main stream DEM's, or most rational people, Palin is the most UNDER-QUALIFIED individual to ever run for a major office. Not only is she under qualified, she is just as scandalous as the man who currently holds that office, if not more than Cheney, and that, my friends, is saying alot!

And I loved the comment on the THANK GOD there is Palin web page "Palin will win this election for McCain." Now that's real humor!

"We can see Russia from our doorstep, I think I understand foreign policy." ....really, because I can see my gardener working, does that mean I understand Mexican culture??.....according to Palin, I do! I guess I learned about it through osmosis.

excuse me but pretty much everything you guys have been saying was in her comments just driven a little less tasteful than the media has been. I'm still amazed at how you guys bash her when you have that Geritol suckin fool BIden sitting around in your closet..wheres he been? we don't see any mass media events screaming his name or mind altering comments coming from that idiot..or any super fixes for the economy by his fearless leader..they are just riding out the storm while all of you and the media concentrate your efforts on trashing Palin and every once in awhile now McCain..

you guys are not only blind your are hopeless

I'm not sure Sarah Palin is qualified to even be the governor of Alaska, let alone anything higher.

After the Vice President of the United States of America,Dick Cheney, said a obscenity that translates to "go pleasure yourself",on the Senate floor, to a Senator and this is up setting??? Ms Bernhardt has made a comedic social commentary career ,all the while being honest about herself.  V.P. Cheney is many things, honest about himself is not one of them.

Actually President Obama, I'm sorry, presumptive President Elect Obama, has laid out plans on multiple occasions as to help prevent the blood leaching on Wall Street and the effects felt on Main Street. However, your blog focuses on Palin. Therefore, let's discuss Palin. First, her only real experience in leading any form of government was being the mayor of a town of 7,000 people. Now, I've never been to Alaska, but a running a small town and dealing with budgetary issues on that level in no way prepares an individual, REP or DEM, for the Office of the Vice Presidency. While she was elected to governor of Alaska, she has only been there a short time during a boom budget for Alaska, IE BIG OIL. Therefore, her claims about balancing a budget may be true, however it is interpreted in the broadest terms, because, after all, when you have a large surplus of money flowing in with little external pressures to slow that flow, it's not very hard to balance a budget and give everyone everything they want. In essence a VERY rich family vs. a typical American family, now who's better a preparing a budget?? She lacks any foreign policy exposure, lacks an understanding of the judicial system, can not name a single Supremes case other than her mantra ROE v. WADE. And most importantly, she lacks a real leadership.

The McCain/Palin camp would have been better off continuing to challenge Obama on the experience issue and may had been able to gain some traction with that route, however, they felt it was in their best interest to go off message and attack a man. And not just attack a man, but literally threaten his life. Now yes, you REP's jump down my throat and tell me Palin never threatened Obama's life, and yes you are correct. However, the last week and half, there have people either attending McCain/Palin rallies calling for Obama's head, literally, "off with his head," or those introducing these candidates such as the top law enforcement officer from a Florida county, as he introduced Palin, played into people's fears referring to Obama with an emphasis on his middle name. This is nothing more than a thinly veiled ploy to invoke people's fears about Muslims and terrorists in general.

Now we come to why Palin lacks leadership. If she was a true leader, she would have immediately got up there and said something as to I appreciate the enthusiasm of my supporters, yet I do not appreciate these personal attacks on him. I didn't like them regarding my family and my daughter, and I will not support them against my opponent. While that may not have changed my mind regarding Palin's philosophy's and the GOP's vision, I would have taken her a lot more seriously. She did not stop these attacks and has even chuckled at them.

Therefore, you ask how can I support Obama, I ask how can you support people who outright threaten someones life?...even if you may agree with the GOP vision. That's why I don't support Palin and hope and pray this country is not fooled into electing such a wack job for VP.

'Twill be interesting tomorrow when the report on Troopergate comes out, since the AK Supreme Court turned down the last attempt to delay it until after the election.

I'm guessing (AK politics being what it is, and them knowing Palin will soon be headed back north) that they'll say she knowingly done wrong but shouldn't be censured or prosecuted.

And now McCain has taken up the whole Ayers matter personally, wanting to know "the whole truth about the relationship" or some such palaver. The next debate will be really interesting, I suspect.

I hope Obama asks him about Gordon Liddy and the World Freedom Board. And throw in Keating while you're there.

Keating?

Oh, yeah, McBush's common-law husband.

I'm not sure Sarah Palin is qualified to even be the governor of Alaska, let alone anything higher.

Alaskans, themselves, will provide us all more insight into that question as early as tomorrow.  Aside from the Alaska Supreme Court decision today that allowed the investigation to go forward, the Alaska State Legislature must FIRST vote to permit investigator Steve Branchflower to release the finding in his investigation.  Alaska's legislature is 70% Republican and there is a serious possibility they may vote to not allow the findings to be released.  If that happens, another lawsuit could occur.  Someone with standing in Alaska (meaning: ANY citizen who is not a public servant) would have to file a suit. In that case, the Supreme Court could be well within it's authority to say that the actions of the state legislature are central to the state's separation of powers and that the Supreme Court would be interfering in an area where they are correctly told they cannot interfere.  At least that's a possible scenario.  The court could also rule that blocking the release amounts to an obstruction of justice by the state legislature.

Total drama.

Actually Biden has been all over the place. The other morning he was on the Today Show. Oddly enough, this morning, they asked someone from the McCain camp when Palin was going to come on and they pretty much said that she's done enough TV interviews and didn't really need to do any more. You know, she doesn't want to keep looking stupid on national TV. The Obama camp rep said they would be more than happy to come on anytime. I even saw Michelle Obama on The Daily Show. She's really great. She'll be a wonderful First Lady.

Palin hasn't learned the Nixon Lesson:  It ain't the crime, it's the coverup.

Expect "what is Palin hiding?" ads when/if they don't release the report.

Obama basically called McCain out on the whole Ayers thing. McCain had plenty of opportunities to bring it up on Tuesday, but chose to wait and say nasty stuff behind his back. The whole issue is meaningless. Ayers worked with Obama on a bipartisan group on educational issues. Nobody on the board had a problem with Ayers and they all knew his past. Why it's a big deal now...well, I know why they're trying to make it one, but it really makes them look foolish. McCain didn't learn anything from some of the mistakes Hillary made, so he's just repeating the same ones. I just hope they don't end up inciting people to violence. That would be an ugly stain on our Democracy. I'd like to think America is a better place than that.

HM, I just read that the Alaskan Supreme Court refused to block the release. We'll hear/see the report tomorrow as scheduled.

From the Anchorage Daily News

The Alaska Supreme Court today rejected an attempt by a group of six Republican legislators to shut down the Legislature's investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin.

The ruling means that Steve Branchflower, the investigator hired by the Legislative Council, will release his report as scheduled on Friday.

Release to whom, though?  Can he release it to the press if some Gooper stamps "internal use only" on it?

We never (rightly) saw the report on the Plamegate affair, only what came out in court.  Of course, Fitzgerald *DID* hold a press conference, and so can Branchflower.  That's all that's necessary.

Gonna be interesting stuff if released unadulterated and in full, Random is on the case. And we are being targeted by certain blog school yard sniveling playground monitors, the brown nosing is taking place as we speak

her only real experience in leading any form of government was being the mayor of a town of 7,000 people

She was the Harvey Hall of Wasilla.

Because she couldn't handle the job, Wasilla had to hire a city manager soon after she was elected. She was nothing more than a ribbon cutter.
