As long as I get my Red Rider BB gun for Christmas. That's right I said Christmas and I don't give a damn who is offended......

even though I'm an agnostic myself

You may need to trade that for food.  Anti has another traditional investment item for hard times, fire arms.  Speaking of Anti this brings up another question.  Should non believers get paid Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays off as well as Holiday bonuses?  Think about it;P

Of course we should.  They're both secular holidays.  Now, you could make an argument that I shouldn't get Easter off--but that's kinda silly.

Like the coin.  But folks will buy 'em.  They bought the Pet Rock, too.

So Rf you are saying that sense you became an atheist that you didn't return Christmas gifts on principle?

Sure, I'll buy a dollar for ten dollars. Gotta have it, what a steal!

I'm selling dollars with George Washington on them in exchange for paper bills with Alexander Hamilton on them.  These dollars make great collectors items.  In fact, I know they're particularly coveted right now, given the state of our economy. Join the ranks of people who collect these dollars as hobby and be an exclusive part of society!  Famous collectors include, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Sergey Brin and Larry Page (the founders of Google).

Contact me if you're interested in this offer!

There's nothing religious about Thanksgiving, so why shouldn't they get that holiday Wayfayer.... About the closest religion comes to Thanksgiving is the whole came to America to escape religious persecution thing, but that's about it.

Not me,I want the whole set in an oak and glass case...not. Man folks will make hay out of nothing...

Well Wayfarer, using that logic, maybe you shouldn't get Veteran's day off, or Martin Luther King day, or only half a day off on President's day because you didn't like half of them.

Now, if you're a black ex Marine who would follow ANY President into the void, then you should get them all off, no questions asked.  ;)

As for Christmas, it's a tradition. You can be a non believer and still enjoy the good fellowship of the season. You can be a non believer that Jesus was the Son of God, but still admire his words and deeds. And no, I'm not giving my presents back. That wouldn't make me an atheist, that would make me a Jehovha's Witness. LOL

As they say "How convenient."

Dollartree is taking dollar donations for little stuffed Christmas animals and the American Legion is distributing then to soldiers kids.  You get to pick which little critter you want to give.

Nothing to do with any of this but it's still a great thing to do.  It's only a buck folks.

Look for coat drives too.  It's getting colder and a lot of students don't have coats.  I bought some at Goodwill and took them to the Channel 23 coat drive a couple of weeks ago.  Cold kids don't care if you're a Christian, Atheist, or a heathen.  And it's not hoiday related.

(I actually bought them for a school drive that didn't pan out so was able to get them to people who would distribute them.)

Siouxcity, you're not under the impression that the Obama campaign is selling these, are you?  Nobody could be that--

Oh.  Wait.  You voted for McCain, didn't you?

.

So Rf you are saying that sense you became an atheist that you didn't return Christmas gifts on principle?

Why should I?  Your god didn't give me any of them.

SAGE  SIOUX~ and this is the cheap set!

and your going to tell me hes not going to get a kick back from the extra $9 a coin??? or any of the higher price collections..buisness doesnt work that way and we all know it..people cant just use your image without permission... and or without a monitary gain made from such an agreement..the man would have to be a fool to allow that

If you believe that Obama is going to bomb big time, buy some of the coins.

They will become valuable collector's items.

*Hands you a cup of nievity= P

Ever hear of public domain? Interesting concept.

Engineers create "Nanobamas".... 3-D images of Obama no bigger than a grain of salt.Has this man no shame?

posted by siouxcityranch on Nov 18, 2008 at 09:05 AM

theres is a thing called trademark the transends public domain over riding copyright laws..tsk tsk always a loop hole

And I TOTALLY AGREE ..anything with Obama  on it ...is a shame...Im glad your finally getting it.. I appreciate your adding to the list..

I dunno Sioux. Is McCain gonna get a percentage of his action doll profits? Just asking.

I'm not so sure about the cabbage patch edition. That looks more like Phil Gramm than McCain. But notice the lapel pin, it's gotta be John. You aren't an American without one. My favorite is the POW McCain doll, but I get depressed when I look at it, so I won't show it here.

and your going to tell me hes not going to get a kick back from the extra $9 a coin???

That's *EXACTLY* what I'm going to tell you.

.

theres is a thing called trademark

Sure there is.  It's regulated by the US Patent Office.  Care to point out his trademark?  Here's the search engine:

Or shall I do it for you?  Here's the trademark owner:

John McCain condoms- Old but not expired! Shhhhhh. Don't tell the Catholics

WOW RF..You reall told me...NOT..that really proves Yommama has nothing to do with it and they have never spoken about it through "Their People" ...ya RIGHT..Like Michelle would allow that...

I hope McCain does get a kick back and thats not the issue..the issue is saying they dont..If you were a public figure wouldnt you want a piece of the action..movie stars and other public figures get kick backs from the widdle action figures too..Are you saying Obabma is different than our beloved  "I'll be Back" Arnie..

Virgil Im sure you have one hell of a collection of dolls in your closet..they are on Ebay..go for it sugar shorts you deserve it..

anti can you get those with a script for viagra?? starting my shopping list for my good demo buds on TBC right after Thanksgiving..

posted by randomfactor on Nov 18, 2008 at 10:20 AM

I was merely pointing out your ignorance on the subject, Siouxcity.  But then, you're doing a better job of that than I can.

The "kickback to McCain" theory at least explains why he ran such a sucky campaign:  remember "The Producers."

An unscrupulous organization (the GOP) can make more money from a flop than from a hit.

.

Antiex, you broke the borders.

*shakes head*~ watched a interesting show last night about conspiracy theories....when times get more complicated apparently they run rampant.

The image is public domain, the coin is copyrighted. You show where there is a valid verifiable link with Obama and the Franklin mint......but I am sure there is a conspiracy within a conspiracy wrapped in...something.

I thought the Nanobamas were cool myself.

Hum....just in time for the Holiday season. Instead of a buring cross (which is messy) you can have the nice lite up cross similar to the KKKs burning cross.

Dammit!  Don't send the Border Patrol Random.

It isn't showing up broken on my screen. So I dunno...maybe our computers are set up different. Everyone else getting broken borders?

Well see, McCain stating he wanted a piece can have many meanings regarding the condoms Sioux. So maybe he doesn't get any monetary rewards for that after all. ;)

RF...Antiex, you broke the borders.

RF you really need to brush up on your computer terminology..

so when a company in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter started making obama coins they had to contact the democrats for their blessing and nobody else does?? You brought it up so its your job to convence me not the other way around

A quote

"The company directors got the idea of producing the coins after seeing actress Meryl Streep talking about Barack Obama on a television programme. When they got in touch with the Democrats the party jumped at the chance. And the coins have proved such a hit that locally produced versions have already been launched to compete with the UK originals."
