David Crisp profile deserved space
Reader: I have to first say how disappointed I was to wake up on Sunday, June 11, and find a three-page article on the most obnoxious self-centered person in town. I am still trying to figure out how reading basically a list of everything Realtor David Crisp has been able to buy himself is informative journalism, which is what I expect from reading the paper.
There are plenty of people in this town who have made bigger fortunes than Crisp and I have never seen any of them flaunting their earnings on the front page of the paper. Maybe that is why you don't see any of them with unnecessary bodyguards and security dogs. The only thing I didn't learn was whether the unbelievably loud party that all of Crisp's other neighbors and I had to endure until the wee hours of June 10, was one of his "Bible study" classes. Here's some advice from someone older and more experienced in the business world: What goes up fast comes down even faster. The next time I read some three- page article in the paper, I hope it is about humanitarians doing some good for other people and not themselves. -- Kim Simpson Executive Editor Mike Jenner: Our profile of Crisp didn't lionize him. It also didn't consume three pages of space. This was a story of a driven young man who has enjoyed success at an early age. Readers are fascinated by such stories. They also enjoy stories about ordinary people doing good things for their communities. We publish many more of those than we do stories about young entrepreneurs. 6 comments from 6 users

I happen to feel the same as previous reader. I currently have my home listed with him, and to my surprise I believe that he
David Crisp is the investor that is trying to buy my home for $000000.00000000 so he can turn around and make lots of money off a home that is already very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very, very surprised also to think that my agent is involved with this kind of bussiness dealings. Not trying to sell my house, trying to give it away,so he and Crisp can make some money. SAD very very SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! posted by

That article was full of self-promotion and puffing. The results since that article have shown that. Was quality of journalism is that now, Mr. Editor?

What goes up, must come down, and I dare say it has been proven again.
