Shud wurdz b speld the wae thae sound?
Associated Press reported Darlene Superville wrote a story about simple spelling.

The idea is to spell words they way they sound so it is easier to learn English and combat illiteracy.

That way it would be less confusing when "say," "they" and "weigh" all rhyme, but "bomb," "comb" and "tomb" don't.

"It's a very difficult thing to get something accepted like this," acknowledges Alan Mole, president of the Amkerican Literacy Council. The group says English has 42 sounds spelled in a bewildering 400 ways.

I'm thinking we leave this to text messagers. R U with me?

Leave it as is.  How are you going to account for all the different ways the same word sounds in Maine/Boston/Brooklyn/Charleston/ Houston/Topeka/Bakersfield?

No. And this also applies to the current trend that parents are following like sheeple. Spelling their baby's name in a 'cr8ive' fashion. Why on EARTH would you have the child's names spelled in such a bizarre manner? That poor kid is going to have to spell his/her entire name every single time they need to provide personal information to anyone. No longer do I hear people asking,

This is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard! Why should I have to suffer because a bunch of idiots whom I share the language with can't remember how to spell a simple word?!

Let me think about this. I've been attending school since kindergarten, and I'm going to be a senior in high school this next year. Every year teachers have been continuously teaching me the English language and have expected me to keep up with it all. Now that I'm going to be a senior, I am actually starting to understand the English language and how it works, but a bunch of idiots want to change the rules. Does this seem right? NO! Geez, Louise. This is just stupid. Pure stupidity!
