Californians for gay marriage

A new poll has found that more California voters now support allowing same-sex marriage than oppose it.
Wednesday's results mark the first time in over three decades of polling by the Field Poll that more California voters have approved of extending marriage to gay couples than have disapproved.

You can read the whole story here.

Meanwhile, officials are telling county clerks that they can start issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples on June 17. Get those details here.

And only to *RESTRICT* the power of government over us, never to make it stronger.

.

When in doubt on *ANY* proposition, vote "no."

pro life/pro wife, lol thats good.

For the record that poll your reciting is infavor of changing the defintion of the word marriage not extending it for gay people.

I'm pro-life and pro-marriage.  I want to see as many people as possible have the right to marry, including gays.

.

You like "for the record," don't you, BS?  "For the record," that poll is whether folks would favor or not favor extending marriage to same-sex couples and did not ask about changing the definition.  Field is usually pretty good in California--93 percent accurate since 1996.  Looks like the bigots will have a hard time if they even make it to the November ballot with their little proposition, which is still in signature verification.

A subset of the people was also asked about the proposition, and 54 percent were against the idea generally, 51 percent against the specific proposition.

And those opposing gay marriage most...are dying off.
