Corcoran State Prison has released a new prison photo of their most notorious inmate, Charles Manson.

Manson is 74. The 'Manson family' killings took place 40 years ago.

As I recall, the death penalty was abolished at the time of Manson's sentencing. Perhaps dying of old age in prison is the worse punishment. As far as I know, Manson and his accomplices have never expressed regret for those brutal, senseless murders. (Some have denied ever killing anyone--they just happened to be on the scene.)

A young handyman/caretaker on the property was asleep in a seperate building when the crime took place. Had he awoke and investigated, he surely would have been an additional victim. Likewise, so would movie celeb Steve McQueen. He was an invited guest that night but never showed.
