But...but...but, where else would I hang my fake bull testicles?
Government! What's with those guys?

Seems that some Maryland polititian wants to ban fake bull testicles and other anatomically explicit decorations from vehicles.

The measure was filed in the General Assembly  by Delegate LeRoy E. Myers Jr., who says children shouldn’t be exposed to giant plastic gonads dangling from pickup truck trailer hitches, Associated Press reported.

In a sneaky attempt to get women on his side, the bill  would ban displaying images of naked human breasts, buttocks or genitals, with offenses punishable by fines of up to $500.

Where is the voice of reason in all of this?

The American Civil Liberties Union objected to Myers’ bill.

“The legislation is overly broad, and would probably make it illegal to have a sticker on your car of the Venus de Milo from an art museum,” ACLU of Maryland spokeswoman Meredith Curtis wrote in an e-mail.

First body parts. Next Bobble-heads. Where is this all going to end?

I saw this earlier this week. Great comments made by all. (Possibly NSFW, otherwise I'd be copy-and-pasting the best ones here.) Enjoy.

Speaking of NSFW, Mattloch: http://www.google.com/searc...

Guess that'll have to go too.  This is just crazy.  Hope this guy never takes his kids to a petting zoo.

Hey Woof, it was a picture of Charging Bull, the bronze statue of a bull in Manhattan.  The new link above works, though it takes you to a different picture set.

For future reference, NSFW = Not suitable for work.

I probably wouldn't have known what the hitch ornament was unless told.  WHAT part of this is important?

My wife has a small set of brass balls on her Harley keychain. As good a rider as she is, they make a great statement!

What next, a ban on those posing lady mud flaps on 18 wheelers? They do show a silhouette of boobs, you know.

All you civil libbers will be happy to know that the measure apparently failed:

(And yes, the mud flaps were next.  "I said nothing when they came for the fake bull testicles...")
