Ted's point of view is probably different than most, because I have been around many, many places and seen and done a bit more than one person really should have... My Uncle Bob told me when I was young, that I must had kissed the Blarney stone... It has either been Luck, or the Angel on my shoulder that has keep me alive and safe through way too much! Thank You my Angel...

Syrup, syrup and more syrup. :)

I am known as the dipper :) Well this sounds a bit funny, but not at all funny when you think about it, as I did some years back.. While eating in a Cafe one Morning, enjoying my pancakes, a nice Lady sitting next to me told me a great secret for enjoying my pancakes (or any type of food that uses Syrup) even more...  Have the syrup brought in a Monkey dish (small bowl) so it can be used for dipping each bite into fresh syrup, this way the cake stays light and fluffy and the syrup flavor is even better... No soaking up all that syrup into the cake or Waffle or French toast.. The best part about this is, I only used maybe 1 on those small containers of syrup, not the usual 3 or 4 as I had always added more as I went along, because the syrup just went away (soaked into the cake) so to get that syrup flavor back, I just added more on top of that whole soggy mess.
Doing it this way saves from using sooooo much syrup, and a way better taste/flavor all around.
All the other Folks I have turned on to this over the years really Thank me after they too tried it, takes a bit more time, but the time is worth the added flavor... not to mention the weight one can either lose or not gain.. :) hehe

Well I almost forgot how to find my profile and sign in here, as it has been way too long since I have been here... I have had a knee stop working without tons-O-pain, it turned out to be a large tear in my Menisgus to my right knee.. Happened June 19th a Friday eve. after a dance, walking out to the car, and BAMMMM!! it hit.. WoW!! what pain that was.. hehe not a bit funny then... Took almost 3 Months to get it fixed, the system is real slow, plus the fact that I had never had any type of surgery before, no history, so I had to have many tests done, to get an OK for the Micro surgery, by Dr. MD. C, Hamilton.. He was great and fast, I go back this Tuesday for a Week check up, walking without any help, trying to get the knee free to move in the full motions, as it feels a bit stiff after the surgery, but is working better every day...

I also feel a ton better after hearing that my EKG was real pretty, so said the Gal that got me ready for surgery, she said it looked better than Her's and She is a youngester compared to me, I am going next year to 70...  She asked what was my secret, one day I may tell all ... hehe

SO: I don't know if I can remember to try and do all my computer talking with all my different sites again since I am working hard with this knee and getting out and about more now, but I will try and check in more often Bakersfield. :)

I am also trying to get a digital book {and a video} together about how and why I build HotRod cars mainly T Buckets the way I do... I see so many people spending way more money than is necessary to have a great working street Rod.

Have a GREAT Week, Ted

It was hard to pick a category for this??? So no matter, I just want the idea out there...

When my Wife and I went to a meeting about the city constructing a overpass for traffic at the intersection of Hageman and Alan Roads, the main complaint was loss of privacy and noise.. Well plant a large stand of evergreen TREES.. This could hide everything from view, and pretty much block the car and truck noise as well.. YES??

No lights shinning in people's yards & windows, no one being able to look into private yards, and the public not being able to see that ugly raised traffic exchange... Or is this too simple? and cost effective... I believe it would make everybody HAPPY and even ad to the Beauty of the City, as they could now hide all the ugliness of many over passes throughout the city... Go evergreen!!!

Well if this sounds like a Bitch, IT IS!!

Why oh Why does this City have such a crazy street sweeping schedule??? One never knows if and when the sweeper will come by, NO signs, no news postings, nothing!! Just come by whenever they get the notion it seems.. In Orange Co. they post signs when they are to sweep, and give tickets if your car or ?? is parked there when they come by...  One day one side of the street and the next, the other side of the street, simple... At least the streets are cleaner than they are here.. I do hate the tickets for forgetting, but I love the cleaner streets.. What can one do? Sweep your own gutter I guess, and go on living.. hehe

About Me against the World...
Current mood: contemplative
Category: Life

As I age, I am finding out just what is the BIG difference between Me and most Everybody else... I seem to like or need to ROCK the BOAT...  Now that I think about it, I have ALWAYS been this way, for some unexplained reason...  The need to make changes, and most generally I want to make it better or less work, whatever it is... Because I see wasted effort, time and money, in so many areas of life...

Why do I have a need to do this? It gets Me in trouble, a lot, I find...  So I am a loner pretty much. I also find that I do not get along {agree all the time} with that many people, I am always trying to make changes in THEIR lives as well.
MOST PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE CHANGES, ESPECIALLY WHEN TOLD BY THE LIKES OF ME, THE WAY I SAY THINGS, COMES OUT WRONG, AS FAR AS HOW THEY WANT TO HEAR THINGS, they are taken as personal attacks, rather than constructive criticism .
My own Wife says that it is not so much WHAT I say, but HOW I say it... Someway/Somehow, I have to learn to say it [go about it]  differently...
So that my message will be taken to Heart, rather than to BATTLE!     I hate being the enemy!
At times I try and just keep my opinions to myself, but usually when I see people wasting Money, Time, Effort, whatever, I just unload My ideas...
I can go inside most any business, and within a short, can save them much time, and effort, which saves them tons of MONEY, IF they listen... If my message is taken as attacks, then I am thought of as the ENEMY...
I know this.. The real TRUTH hurts, most of the time... People just do not want to hear it, why?
What makes Me think I know it all?  I guess it is all the years I have learned and listened to others making many mistakes, I sure do not know it all, but I am real good at saving time at doing things with your hands, and how to buy things, and to keep from wasting, most anything...
So, there I am, in a NUT shell... Probably some do think of Me as a Nut.    Do I care? Yes, inside...
I've just Gotta have it MY WAY!
They say, this is not Burger King!  hehe   HELP

It has always amazed me as to how bad a place or person takes it when you mention you have hair in your food...   With all the Waitresses swishing their hair all over the place, all the time, and messing with it.. no wonder it falls in all the wrong places... and cooks without hair nets is pretty nasty... Hair has everything in it that the person has in their body that belongs to that hair!  Check it out... anyway, here is a review that I just found on this very subject.. it is about a place in town, Tailgaters Sports Bar and Grill..

Ok, so we were in town for the Carrie Underwood concert and my parents said to try this place since its right across the street and they have good food.  So we went in at about 5 and were seated right away.  I ordered a chicken wrap with fries and my boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger with fries.  Service was fast at first because there was only a few people in there.  We finished our main food and my bf started eating his fries and there was a hair in it.  Ok, that's gross, but I understand that there are mistakes sometimes.  We told the waitress and she got all defensive saying it wasn't her hair.  Obviously it's not your hair because it didn't look anything like it.  She told us that we didn't have to pay for it.  We decided to share my fries.  Well, we then found another hair in my fries that was a different type of hair.  This was disgusting.  We told our waitress again and she just laughed it off, I don't think she really understood what we were saying though.  I think she thought we were talking about the first hair.  Anyways, we then waited about 45 minutes to receive our check because she completely avoided us until they got really busy and needed our table.  Bad place to go!

Places, get your hair together.. You think??
