So Much Woo So little Time

alright, well not all woo is centered on religion. Of course there is TONS of woo out there, like the crap that Oprah Winfrey allows to be broadcast. Now she's allowing Jenny McCarthy to have her own Talk Show?!!! It's a sigh of the end of times I tell ya! Miss Oprah is truly crazy and absurd, and in the business of making lots and lots of money, So i'm assuming to make money, truth and reality go by the byway. anyways, NEWSWEEK calls her out on some of her quackery

check it out here http://www.newsweek.com/id/...

so she responds by saying "For 23 years, my show has presented thousands of topics that reflect the human experience, including doctors' medical advice and personal health stories that have prompted conversations between our audience members and their health care providers," Winfrey said in the statement. "I trust the viewers, and I know that they are smart and discerning enough to seek out medical opinions to determine what may be best for them."

http://news-briefs.ew.com/2...

She says that because SOME stuff that she said was true it clears her of any misinformation she might have spread? She tries the whole "I'm just putting it out there, and let the people decide" gambit. Yeah she puts her whoo out there all right, one sided biased crap. Like "The Secret" the most ridiculous and stupid thing Ive ever heard of...grrrr better stop before I get any more grumpy . Have a great day

Jenny M. is coo-coo for Coa coa puffs! I remember when she first identified her son as autistic and she went on the talk show circut promoting "indigo children and crystal kids" - alien- light- next- step- of- humanity stuff.  Plus I find her irritating. That's one show I won't watch...but I'm sure many Oprahites will. But....remember "Beloved"?

That woman does have a talent for going overboard.  It's scary when by comparison to some celebs I can think of, Oprah's one of the sane ones.

And then there's Tom "You're glib!" Cruise and *HIS* lunacy...

Oprah is not nuts; she is just suffering from the I-am-all-that sydrome that comes from extreme fame and money. for chrissake, she has a magazine that features only her own face on the cover!! How self-centered is that?

 ....remember "Beloved"?

She lost about 5 "Cool" points for that one. (is the book better than the movie?)

Yes~ but the subject matter is just too much for some folks to consider.

The subject matter in the movie wasn't emily post either (neither was Color Purple, one of my favorite movies).

I agree 100% And everyone who I know who read and loved the book (myself included) could not fathom how it could translate visually....and it didn't.
