Happy Independence Day
Well hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm sending my regards from Mojave, keeping the citizens of the East Kern safe. I give my thanks to the enlightened fathers of our country. Those that died to make us independent, and give me right to spout my crazy rants wherever and whenever I please. Without fear of the government killing me, putting me in prison or other such threats. In other countries I would not be so lucky. All those men and women who have served and payed the ultimate sacrifice, to continue our freedom. To those who currently continue to serve. My daughter, son in law and the grandkids came over for BBQ. After dinner my grandson and son in law had a big water fight with mega water guns I bought for my grandson yestereday. My son in law, the cop, was constantly shooting me even though I asked him not to. I finally took my revenge when he was refilling his gun from the water hose. Unfortunately, my revenge was short lived when he threw down the water gun and chased me with the hose. I had to retreat to the house to save what little dignity I had left.

tonight as I was sitting outside watching the neighborhood having fun lighting their chosen fireworks..i came to this conclusion on the products available..You can buy either TNT or Phantom fireworks...neighbors bought the Phantom..you guessed it we bought TNT.. I think TNT should be considered *ILLEGAL*...not because they are dangerous and awesome to look at....but because they are a *RIP OFF*....it should be *ILLEGAL* to SALE them.. the larger ones that we saved as a show stopper just gave off a small fizzle and about the time you think they will take off they flame out... the small ones last less time than it takes you to light them.. So buyer beware next year when its time to celebrate..

sioux, I couldn't agree more! I was really disappointed with TNT. We bought Phantom last year, and they were a thousand times better than the TNT crap. What a rip off. Never again. posted by

Safe perhaps... but I was rather grumpy at the neighbor one cul-de-sac over that decided 12:30am was a PERFECT time to start setting off his cache of illegal fireworks. Nothing like an aerial booming over your house to ruin sleep.
