Al Sharpton Will Be Arrested Today....
The union that represents the three NYPD detectives acquitted after shooting to death wedding groom Sean Bell will try to convince the head of the House Judiciary Committee that justice already has been served, NY1 News reports.
Michael Palladino, president of the Detectives Endowment Association, will meet today with Rep. John Conyers, chairman of Congress’ Judiciary Committee. Palladino will also meet with New York Congressman Jerry Nadler. In recent days, Conyers met with the family and fiancée of Bell and promised that he would push the Justice Department to conduct a full investigation into the actions of the detectives who killed Sean Bell. Many activists argue that New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman’s acquittal was a miscarriage of justice. He ruled that Detectives Gescard Isnora, Michael Oliver and Marc Cooper were justified in firing the 50 bullets that killed 23-year-old Bell and wounded his two friends, Trent Benefied 23, and Joseph Guzman, 31. Among the leaders calling on a re-investigation by the Justice Department is the Rev. Al Sharpton, who has promised to shut New York City down with a series of mass protests until justice is served. At 3 p.m. today, thousands are expected to show up at six locations for a prayer vigil, after which demonstrators will fan out to a number of undisclosed locations. The actions are designed to bring traffic and city services to a halt. Mayor Michael Bloomberg says that while he supports the right to protest, he would not tolerate any unlawful activities. "We will enforce the law, and we will do everything we can to make sure we don't violate anybody's rights, anybody's right to express themselves," said Bloomberg. "But at the same time those people who don't want to protest, they have rights too, and that's the beauty of the First Amendment." Along with Sharpton, Bell 's fiancée, Nicole Paultre-Bell and Bell ’s friend, Joseph Guzman, say they plan on being arrested during today’s demonstrations. Protestors will gather at the following locations at 3 p.m. today: 125th Street & Third Avenue; Third Avenue & 60th Street; 34th Street & Park Avenue; Varick & West Houston streets (New York NAACP President Hazel Dukes and the Rev. Al Sharpton will be at this location); One Police Plaza – House of the Lord Church (Brooklyn); 415 Atlantic Avenue (Between Nevins & Bond). Will they arrest Al Sharpton? 8 comments from 6 users

I can only hope they arrest Sharpton. All he sees is black and white, he is truly the racist in this case. posted by

Saying he will shut down the city sounds like a terrorist threat to me. If he does it, he should be charged as a terrorist and also be sued in civil court for lost revenues. posted by

Sharpton is lucky if can remember to lift up the toilet seat before taking a leak (he probably doesn't), let alone shut down NYC. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Random. You just have to get Bush in everything. Can't you think of something more intelligent to say? You sound like a broken record.
