I was on Gwendolyn yesterday....

There were police at 5905 Gwendolyn...... detectives, the fire department, and paramedics all arrived. I saw a girl that looked to be about 18 years old outside crying....a man was also in tears. I called the news to see if they knew what was going on. The news asked me what agency was out there. I told them BPD.......they told me to give them a call back in 5 minutes. I called them back and they told me it was a suicide. Apparently the mother of the girl killed herself. I ask myself why. What would make a person kill their own life? Times are hard but they are never  that hard. I think we should keep a close eye on our children and love ones. If you know a person is depressed encourage that person to seek professional help. The news said they do not run stories of this nature because they are too common.

Just something to think about...

Do any of you realize how many people Texas execute? They have 14 executions scheduled over the next 4 months. Am I the only human being that thinks this is just crazy? This truly bothers me to think that they could be killing innocent people. I guess they kill so many people that it is not even on the news anymore. I guess it is common practice in Texas to execute people....this is just sad. They even post the last statement of the executed. They use to post the last meal but I guess they removed that.

God help us!

A Lakeville man says he feels violated after two police officers woke him up at 3 a.m. to tell him his door was unlocked.

Their surprise visit was part of a public service campaign to remind residents to secure their homes to prevent thefts. Usually, officers just leave notices on doors.

But they went further in Troy Molde's case on Thursday. Police entered the house where four children under 7 were having a sleepover, and then went upstairs to Molde's bedroom.

The officers told Molde his garage door was open, the TV was on, the keys to his truck were left in the ignition and the door to his house was ajar.

A police spokesman says the intrusion was justified because the officers' initial door knocks went unanswered, and they wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.

He says the kids inside -- Molde's two sons and two nephews -- were afraid to wake their dad, so the officers went upstairs.

Is this wrong? I feel these cops may have had cruel intentions.

Tim Russert, who became one of America's leading political journalists as the host of NBC's "Meet the Press," died Friday, according to the network. He was 58.

He collapsed and died at work, according to the network. He had just returned from a family vacation in Italy to celebrate the graduation of his son, Luke, from Boston College.

Russert joined the network in 1984 and quickly established himself as the face of the network's political coverage.

There are many other gang members in Bakersfield. Why are we only targeting black gang members? I am sick of Kern's selective justice.  Get rid of all gangs not just the black ones.

KERN COUNTY IS FULL OF RACIST! THIS COUNTY IS RACIST AGAINST ANYONE THAT IS NOT A GOOD OLE BOY....

BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE OF KERN COUNTY.....

The economic news seems to get worse with each passing day… but it sounds like John McCain may not have heard the news. Here’s what he said Thursday in Florida: “I have a fundamental belief that, I have a great belief that the fundamentals of our economy are very strong, very strong.”

Really, Senator McCain? That’s not what millions of Americans are saying. A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows 78% of those surveyed rate economic conditions as “poor”. Only 22 percent say “good.”

Here are some of the reasons: The economy lost another 49,000 jobs last month, which means more than 324,000 jobs have been lost since the first of the year. The unemployment jumped to 5.5% last month – that’s the biggest increase in the unemployment rate in 22 years.

More and more Americans are losing their homes: one million homes are now in foreclosure. The equity Americans have in their homes-their biggest asset-has declined to the lowest level since the end of World War II. Americans’ net worth has declined by a staggering $1.7 trillion dollars.

Then there are the rising costs of energy. For the first time in our history, gasoline now tops $4 a gallon and is headed higher. Oil traded at a record high of $139 a barrel Friday, with predictions of $150 a barrel by July 4 and Goldman Sachs saying it could reach $200 a barrel within two years. The peak summer driving season is just getting under way. These fuel prices impact the cost of virtually everything else.

And, with the nation on the brink of recession, the stock market is taking a hit too – declining almost 400 points last Friday alone. The U.S. dollar continues to weaken against almost all foreign currencies – declining 15% against the euro in the last year. We are $9 trillion in debt thanks to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the irresponsible fiscal policies of the Bush administration. And we continue to run huge trade deficits with China.

Here’s my question to you: Is John McCain right when he says the fundamentals of our economy are very strong?

I will be the first to tell you.... I am not a political geek but I do know bull when  I read it....Maybe he has Alzheimer's.
