The Theatre group "Act-Out," made up of 8 foster teens from Kern County will be performing monologues and scenes from "Class Action" by Brad Slaight. The performance is 30 minutes long and being hosted at the Bakersfield Community Theatre at 3p.m. The show is free and open to the public. The featured theme is teenage personal and social issues, including child abuse and gang influence.

ACT-Out is a therapeutic theatre program for Kern County teenage foster youth. It helps them learn the basic techniques of acting, scene study, and developing characters. ACT-Out helps these teens work through personal real life conflicts, family issues, personal fears and frustrations through role play. ACT-Out perfoms scenes and short plays for schools, clubs, other agencies and for the general public.

Please come support our local teenage foster youth today at The Bakersfield Community Theatre located at 2400 S. Chester Ave at 3 p.m. today.
