Letter in responce to Rep McCarthy's 'Let's work together' E-mail

You  supported nothing. You have no plan  This is nothing but rhetoric.
You have no power to do anything.
You in fact are no more than  an obstructionist. You couldn't get 20 Republicans to agree on the same stimulus plan. It's time to work for a better America. Leave partisanship behind.
Now learn how to negotiate a plan that will work or resign and give your spot to someone who can.

Tell those bums on Wall Street the first people they need to fire is their Human Resources dept. And their  skill recognition team.
It is their overpaid salesmen, driven by greed, that got us into this miss. And I will not stand for my tax money to pay bonuses for their incompetence.

Don't you understand that America gave Reaganomics and trickle down 16 years to work. Time has proved it is a miserable failure.

Society creates all wealth. Not Business. Businesses don't reinvest tax refunds. They hoard the money, Then borrow more to continue in business.
The wealthy have taken their tax refunds  and invested it into commodities that only goes to drive up inflation. They haven't spent  a nickle to create new jobs.

Wake-up,  America is more than tired of the same old Reaganomics.
We are damn mad at the mess it has gotten us into..

Bush Proved Republicans are not fiscal conservatives.  America knows that McCarthy.
 Wake up!!!
It’s time for you to split from the old school politicians. Lead Republicans. Show them the way to better government. Show them how to negotiate even when you are down 30 points to nothing.

Shouting NO!!.  Whining things are not fair. Is not negotiating.
The facts are you are the minority party. That was decided democratically last fall.
So in fact things are fair. You have been dealt the short hand. Because your prior performance had been decidedly miserable.
Now start working to rebuild America.

Food stamps, welfare and MediCal don’t mean give aways to the poor. They mean Grocery Stores and hospitals get paid and don’t have to shut their doors.  They mean that farmers have consumers for their products.

Take away school lunch programs. Watch the farming community screem outrage.

If you remove welfare recipients from the equation. More than half the business in Bakersfield would go belly up.

All wealth is derived from society. Not government. Not business.
Our society has chosen Government to be our caretakers and bully pulpit. Not Business.

Our society has chosen Government to be our caretakers and bully pulpit

Well, that is sort of our big problem right there, that chicken is coming home to roost.

What are you upset for? Obama is going to get his trillion dollar stimulas that will stimulate the government into a tremendous debt and will handicap future spending to a pay-as you go (which isn't such a bad thing). The republicans just aren't going to give Obama political cover on something they know will fail, and fail miserably.

Zap,

Reaganomics allowed for the destruction of the American economy by irresponsible and greedy business..  It was the lack of regulation and it’s enforcement that allowed business to ruin a great nations economy.

But no matter how you go about it.  It was idiotic, greedy business practices that got us to where we are.

Let’s get back to true capitalism.

Regulated to produce the, ’Wealth of Nations’.

And never forget. Society creates wealth. Not Business.

What about the cost to those of us who work who have to foot the bill for these programs?  Why should we be compelled to continue working just so we can pay higher taxes for others to continue receiving these "benefits" while they provide nothing tangible in return?

Amen brother!

Reagan and his CONservative hypsters have been exposed. Credit has expanded on an unimaginable scale since 1982. Their tricks with SS and Medicare have now bankrupted this country. Tax cuts for the wealthy do nothing for the other 99%.

TELL ME ONE THING KEVIN  HAS DONE SINCE HE HAS BE EN IN WASHINGTON?? Something that is tangible and real, not some stupid committee he formed that did nothing but sit around and discuss how much in taxes they can cut.

Stage 2 of the crisis I have been warning about since late 2004 has begun...the real pain is only beginning for AmeriKKKa...

Erik,

In times like today. There are millions of people who would work if they could. There are millions who are working that still can not afford food and shelter.

As for the rest, they will always be around. They have always been around. You can’t make them go away. And you can’t put them in jail. But even in jail they are a cost to  society.
They have been a reality that society has had to deal with for eternity. It is a reality in which you have no choice but to accept..
Step back into reality.
Deal with it.

We are now back to my original point.  Society creates wealth. Not business.  It is only in a healthy society that business can grow.

You want to be a good businessmen. Take care of society.

Read the ’Wealth of Nations’.
The Farmer AND the villager make up society.
The farmer must take care of the villager. And the Villager must take care of the farmer. Or capitalism will fail.

So "trickle down economics" is giving people who lie about their job a half million dollar mortgage to buy a house they cannot afford?  That is not trickle down economics.  That is the Democrats plan under Barney Frank to force homelenders to extend mortgages to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay....

posted by ronmexico on Jan 31, 2009 at 08:51 AM

I don't understand why Democrats are so upset about Republicans not voting for the stimulus.  Reps don't have to. Democrats have a strong majority. They can pass any legislation they want.  Reps aren't even holding things up. They are just saying pass anything you want and face the consequences.  Dems apparently can't accept that responsibility.  Apparently, they want someone  to blame if this trillion dollar porkulus bill fails...

Mexico,

No one forced any bank to loan money to anyone.  The Banks feared losing customers to other banks. So they did what their little greedy selves do best. They one jumped the competition. They drove themselves into  the situation we are in now.

Just like guns don’t kill, people do.

People don’t foreclose on Mortgages, they can not get.

Now if you care to look around.
Just like there are many people who never fell for the constant phone calls promising mortgages of a lifetime.
There are banks that seem to have survived so far. In a much better way than others.

As far as obstructionist Republicans?
It is confidence in America’s future that is needed to get us out of this mess.
America does not need republicans standing at the rooftops screaming:

‘We are all doomed. Doomed I tell You.’

Or do you hope that Obama and America fails.
So you can get Jeb into the White House.

Atta Boy Rush Mexico.

I think it is your boy obama who is spreading the fear.

And didn't the Democrats yell and scream for 8 years that we were doomed with Repubs and Bush running things?? Yup.  And when the Dems did vote along with Republicans, and things did not go well, ala Iraq, Democracts  NOT ONCE stood up and defended their vote.

So yes.  I hope Obama and his policies fail.  Just like you Democrats hoped Bush and his policies would fail.  Now that the Dems have control of the presidency and legislature, you can quit blaming the Republicans.  You can pass every single bill you guys want without one single Republican...

With this porkulus bill, all you need is for every Democrat in the Senate to pass it, and you guys can claim 100% ownership of it.  Why do you have such a problem with this??

Mexico,

Everyone I know supported our troops and America. Everyone I know hoped for a victory after we when into Iraq.

No one I know hoped America would fail.

SO everyone you knew wanted George Bush and his policies to suceed??  Wow..

Of course we wanted America to succeed.  So with that in mind. It would follow that we would hope that Jr. Would succeed.

But the reality is. Jr. never offered a plan that would work.  And was rightly criticized for it.

In fact it turned from criticism of his policies to the realization that a  haze of doom hover over America until his term would end.

And lessons learned by his mistakes. Would led to the abolishment of his failed policies.

It wasn't that Americans hoped he would fail.

It was Jr.'s insistence that as long as he did not recognize failure. It could not be.
