Those who oppose health reform. Your all on your own. You certainly don’t have the support of the legitimate Small business man. Nor the Big corporations. The health insurance industry is running these two institutions into bankruptcy. I have no idea what you wish for. But you should start a list to add to Health Reform. At least that way you will not be shut out of the discussion. It’s time to step up or stay at home. 7 comments from 5 users

Who's lying? The president ... or these folks and organizations? http://www.ewtn.com/vnews/g... President of the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins took Obama to task for misleading Americans by “dismissing the concerns” of those with “moral objections to their tax dollars paying for abortions.” "It's surprising the President continues to claim that 'no federal dollars' will fund abortion,” said Perkins adding that the opposite was proven weeks ago by FactCheck.org, and in articles by the AP, Time magazine and the Washington Post. He continued, “The President also knows very well that pro-abortion House and Senate Committees rejected every single amendment to keep abortion funding out of the health care overhaul. Instead, the House Energy and Commerce Committee adopted the Capps Amendment, which allows abortion coverage in the public health plan, and subsidizes health plans that cover abortion." Furthermore: “If it won't use taxpayer funds for abortion - put it in writing in the bill. If it will protect doctors from violating their conscience by forcing them to commit abortions, put it in clear, no- nonsense language in the bill.” Stop being like weasels and address these concerns in a way that leaves us with no doubts about your intentions, otherwise we'll gladly stay home and wait for the 2010 and 2012 election results, thank you. posted by

Pax,
Stop given me personal opinion. These guys do not represent the church. :
Pro-life Leaders Continue To Question Obama’s Health Care Reform Washington D.C., Sep 10, 2009 (CNA).- Following an address by President Barack Obama to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday night, both the president of the Family Research Council and the president of Concerned Women of America emphasized that despite Obama’s words that the reform won’t include tax-payer funding abortions, federal dollars will pay for the procedure. TK continues: Obama said emphatically there will be no tax dollars spent on abortion. It couldn’t be any clearer. Now will there be those that take their income tax rebate check and purchase an abortion. I wouldn’t be surprised it happened. Are you and your buds going to oppose income tax rebate checks also? Fact check only said federal funds would be used in the round about way that I mentioned above. And you will never stop insurance companies from funding abortion. Stop your crusade for republican insurance companies. And stand up and fight the real fight for the health of your neighbor. You have said in another post that you would voluntarily sacrifice the life of my child in order that you might save the life of another child in the abstract. One that exist only in your mind. Not a child we can see. One that might never be. Just one that is in your dreams. But you would risk the life of a child you can see and hold. One that is baptized and living. One you can teach and hope to be dedicated to GOD. Not a cause. That is a demented interpretation of Christianity. You might reflect on that thought and pray. posted by

pax is just spouting a subbranch of the party line, the ones that are afraid that all the poor catholics will be healthy and educated enough to rise up and actually inherit the church. If that happened, all kinds of heck would break loose, like a South American Pope... posted by

I am not against healthcare reform. I am just against a health care reform that is over 1000 pages long, that has not had adequate deliberation, that has not been read by the legislators, and that sends this country further into debt, and that the president wanted signed before the August recess. Those are the reasons so many people are pissed about this. The SEIU and Acorn in cahoots with the Democratic leadership tried to ram this down Americas throat... posted by

Mexico, The full bill. All 1000 pages of it was release July 14th. That’s 2 months ago. If you haven’t read the bill by now. You are not going to read it. I have shown you the Republican bill. It’s at least a thousand pages also. Because that’s how many pages it takes to create a bill. The Republican bill offers 5 grand in refundable tax credits for a family of 4. You don’t like that either. Because you saw how miserable the coverage is in a 5 grand premium. It was Christmas all year round for the insurance industry. You are a partisan. You would cut of your hand for the party. You don’t want health reform. You want Obama to fail. You don’t care for providing answers. You don’t want to make legitimate suggestion. All you know is … NO! posted by

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters that half the bill "will be paid for by squeezing excesses out of the system" by finding $500 billion in reduced waste, fraud, abuse and redundancy. The rest will be paid for in pay-as-you-go funding and cuts in other spending. "Squeeze it out of the system, and that means out of the providers and the rest as well," she said. She added that despite the price tag, there's no limit on the help people will receive. "There's a cap on what you pay in in premiums. There's no cap on what you receive back," Pelosi added.
Why haven't they been able to remove the waste, fraud, abuse and redundancy before now? Beings how they know the waste is there and even have an amount for it. There is a cap on premiums but no cap on what you receive back? I must have missed this form of math while I was in school.
