Mike Trout, for 15 years co-host of "Focus on the Family" with Dr. James Dobson, abruptly resigned from his position as senior vice president of broadcasting for the popular ministry organization.

That article say nothing about those personal reasons.
.
This one does:

.
The married Mike Trout was having an extramarital affair.
.
Not that I judge people on their sex lives, because I don't.  But this is one of those Matthew 7 things.

You mean.. This is a old Evangelical scandal?

I thought ‘Evangelical scandal’, was a modern invention..

A new testament to Greed..

Yup, look at the date.  2000.
.
Old, but still very usable.

Titillating News, even if it is old news. . Love to be a bug on the wall, in a evangelical church in the morning.. .

How long have these, evangelical scandles, been around?

I keep hauling out the Trout case because James Dobson, and Focus on the Family, are so militantly anti-freedom and so virulently judgmental.
.
That's why it's a Matthew 7 thing.  These Pharisees, self-righteous and intolerant to the point of being vicious and hateful, are embroiling themselves in the same "sins" that they hate "heathens" for.
.
Matthew 7:2
"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "

.
So true, so true.  It's being measured to them right now, in spades.
