Bush stumps for GOP in Georgia, find lots of empty seats
PERRY, Ga. (AP) -- President Bush on Tuesday spent a second day in a row campaigning in rural Georgia, targeting a shrinking slice of America where Republicans think he still can help their election cause.

Bush is spending the final days of the midterm campaign in small town venues, where White House officials hope he can inspire people to vote GOP next Tuesday.

He didn't fill the arena at the Georgia National Fairgrounds -- plenty of seats were empty in the back along with nearly half of the vast floor space. But those who came out for the Halloween night rally were enthusiastic, applauding his call for tax cuts and against gay marriage.

Up until this morning. The Republicans rallied around the idea that all politics were local..

But today. We have a issue about wording. That Bush claims should decide the election..

Bush is so incompetent that he was unaware, that Kerry was calling him stupid..

Now on the dawn of the election. He switches course, from ‘stay the course’ and declares the election a national referendum on the misstatements, of a man, who is not even running for election this year..

Cheney bungled it again..

Just like he did When he was Secretary of Defense..

Cheney's past defense cuts questioned

By Bryan Bender, Globe Staff | April 29, 2004

WASHINGTON -- Vice President Dick Cheney, who has been charging that John F. Kerry would be a dangerous commander-in-chief because he opposed many key weapons that the military now relies on, himself presided over the biggest cutbacks in defense programs in modern history when he was secretary of defense under the first President Bush.

As Pentagon chief from 1989 to 1993, Cheney canceled or cut back many of the same weapons programs -- bombers, fighter planes, tanks -- that he says Kerry tried to deprive the armed forces of.

Many of the Cheney-era cuts were made at the end of the Cold War, when the administration of President George H.W. Bush was seeking to reduce the size of the military and secure a ''peace dividend." But some of these downsizing efforts would have affected the military of today.

Cheney proposed, for instance, disbanding part of the Army's Fourth Infantry Division, Congressional Quarterly reported in 1989. Troops from that division captured former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein last December.

The latest Bush-Cheney campaign ad depicts weapons such as the B-2 stealth bomber flying over a battlefield and then disappearing into thin air, attempting to convince voters that if Kerry prevailed back then, US military forces would be underequipped.

Yet Cheney canceled the B-2 bomber program after 20 planes, even though the Air Force saidit needed 132. He also canceled the Navy's A-12 bomber and scaled back the Seawolf submarine.

During his Pentagon stint, the size of the Army was reduced by more than 26 percent, the Air Force by 22 percent, the Navy by 14 percent, and the Marines by 10 percent, according to the Pentagon's official biography of Cheney.

But support for particular weapons ''is not a very useful way to judge strength or weakness," said a former congressional defense staffer who asked not to be named. Using such a yardstick, he added, President Jimmy Carter was the ''strongest" because his budgets resulted in the weapons that won the 1991 Gulf War.

Our troops understand the reality of War..

We have military leaders that understand the reality of war. But they bow to the political leadership.

What would America have said.. If our forefathers had been stuck on Normandy for 5 years. Would America have supported a leadership that allowed our troopers to be picked off on the beach, day in day out, wondering who will be next.. Not knowing what was to come next. Only that they are to stay the course.. Without a sole who can describe the destination, the end. What will winning look like.

Our Troops are warriors.  Not policemen..

Now we have bench marks. What do we do with them. A notch in the rifle stock??

It is true that there is not much reporting of what is good in Iraq.. There is another truth that is not being fully reported. That is the truth of the waste and corruption prevalent in Iraq.

The Hospital in Basra. Spoken so highly of by Lara Bush. Is tens of millions of dollars over budget. And more than a year behind schedule..

Attacks are present even within the green zone. What purpose would there be in reporting on the rebuilding of a elementary school. If the children can’t go there without the fear of being killed..

We can shoot the Iraqi’s with a democratic bullet. But we can’t kill them into freedom.

A Iraq civil war was preordained. The moment we occupied Iraq.

The question is. How many Americans will this Bush regime allow to die. Before we let the inevitable take place..

How many thousands of Americans must die to honor the 3000 thousand that have already died..

How long until we teach the Iraqi’s that outside the boundaries of law and order. Freedom and democracy can not be won by casting a ballot.

Sometimes you must fight for peace.

They must fight for their own freedom. They must fight until they can not stand to fight anymore..

They must be able to safely walk to school. Before they can declare a democracy..

Our troops are not policeman as the Chicken hawk would suggest..

Our troops are warriors. They are trained to be warriors.

The Chicken hawk continues to rant..

In his mind. To list the facts. Is traitorous. He claims that remarks that I made. The type of remark that would be acknowledged by any American War time leader.

Are traitorous.

He is a chicken hawk that would blog instead of fight.

The simple facts are that a extended tour in a combat zone. Will produce war crimes. That is a fact of history. And it will continue to be true for ever..

Chicken hawks do not want to acknowledge that. They are afraid that mothers will not let their children go to war. If they realize the truth about war..

The facts are. That the horrendousness of war. After enough time. Will dissolve ones humanity. Your thoughts will turn to revenge and guilt. Horrible things will happen.. Either in the reality of the fighting. Or in your nightmares when your get home..

Two and three tours in Iraq or Afghanistan are pushing our troops to their limits.

Troops have already plead guilty to war crimes.. We are now required to send several American mothers children to prison for war crimes. Because they fought in a war that has no justification.. For too many tours.

No matter your opinion of the war. Those are facts you can not deny.

Being anti Iraq war is not being a traitor.

Whether you are a veteran or homemaker. Using such vulgarity against those of an opposing view should be denounced by all Americans.. Democrat, Republican or independent..

Cheney says, Elections cause deaths in Iraq..

WHAT???

What’s his solution? Cancel the elections?

Is that the Republican plan to win the war?

The Guy hasn’t a decent thought in his head.. He is wrong every time he has a thought..

The Deaths are caused by Americans involvement in the Iraq civil war..

Medications for nerve damage cure nothing. And work to different degree at different times.
I have a hole/cyst that runs ½ the length of the inside of my spinal cord.

Because it went undiagnosed for apx 20 years, before it was drained. A considerable amount of nerve damage was the result..

There are no drugs made that are specific to nerve pain. Some anti convalescence seem to help a bit.. But their effect is spotty…

At times my pain will increase while taking a medication. I will stop taking the medication and find a reduction in pain for a number of days.. Then I have to start the medication again.

I can’t explain it. My Neurosurgeon can not explain it. It is just a fact. Without a answer..

I have to constantly adjust my medication..

I am particularly sensitive to this issue. For a number of reasons.

One is that stem cells. Hopefully not embryonic cells, may help me with my spinal cord damage..

I have been handcuffed and arrested for falling down..

I have fallen in the street and not been able to get up. Then have car after car drive around me. Giving me that you’re a old drunk stare..

I look perfectly healthy.. Maybe not quite the R. Redford look.. But close.. (Grin)

Because of my nerve damage. I have a feeling of a sever sun burn. Over 75 % of my body. A burn somewhat like that suffered by some diabetics in their hands and feet.. Remember how your hands felt, when you rode your bicycle, with out gloves, in the cold..

I can’t express how much it hurts. I can not exaggerate the effect of pain, 24 hours a day, for the rest of my life.

I don’t want to hurt. I didn’t ask to be disabled. I would gladly give the pain up..

But I can’t.. And it won’t..

All I can do, is do my best, to try to be normal….. And hope that when I can’t act normal..

People will not accuse me of ‘faking it’ .

Wall Street dumps the Dear Leader..

Wall street has turned colors. The current rise in the market is due to expectations of a Democratic (Party), House and Senate. They have begun to praise Pelosi economics and her call for the return to PAGO..

They are now  praising the democratic party as a indicator of a rising economy.. And a improved stock market..

Bush, your plan stinks………….

Yours is a stay the course. And a course without a end is just wondering aimlessly.

Explain to me your goal. Show me where you want to end. Tell me that your plans have a end for our troops in the foreseeable future.

My predictions, of the disasters in Iraq, have been on the level of Nostradamic. Yours, wrong at every turn...

Don’t explain away your failures. And ignore the dismal results..

Today. Our troops are not on a course. They are wondering about, no different than blind fodder for the cannons..

Target practice for the snipers..

If that is your plan.. You are a butcher. Not a guide…

You have had over a 1000 days to change your plans. You have had over a 1000 days to adjust. You have had over a 1000 days to describe a destination. Yet you let our troops wonder in the dark..

And there are 3000 of our troops that will not see one more day.

John Boydstun doesn’t believe in fair wages??? If he does.. Maybe he could explain why he changed parties..

According to  Marylee Shrider's column, Boydstun said:

he hails from a long and distinguished line of Southern "Jeffersonian" Democrats, a group that once believed "everybody should be fairly paid and shouldn't be given what they can work for."

Well TK has something to say to Boydstun..

The democratic party still believes in fair wages. It still believes in earning your way through life. That means businesses are not given a free ride. They must pay a decent wage..

The Democratic party doesn‘t believe that those construction companies that admitted to hiring illegals this last summer. Should go unpunished.. . There were companies that openly acknowledged hiring illegal’s.. In articles presented in the Californian..

The democratic party doesn’t believe that sneaking illegal workers into your shop is part and parcel to the law of supply and demand that should govern wages..

Thievery and criminality is not part of Americas dream. And such actions were found at almost every home construction site in Bakersfield this last summer..

If you believed in fair wages. You would support a living wage. Not a Coyote hauling illegals..

If you want a great America. You would happily pay more than just enough. And you would happily pay your taxes. A duty one is obliged to pay. In order that he may be assured that the dead will not pile up in the gutters in front of his home..

If you wanted a great America. You wouldn’t sit in the same room of one who has earned his fortune by starving the illegals they have enticed to work in America..

American taxpayers. Will be forced to pay for a 2000 mile fence to secure Americas border. For one reason..

That reason is the greed of those who will hire the illegals..

The Nov. surprise. Bush announces ‘cut and run’ on Nov 8th..

Let’s us study what is happening..

1st there is the J. Baker Bi-partisan committee on Iraq.

2nd. After the failures of the Bagdad assault. Bush announces yesterday that he was meeting with the Generals to discuss plans for Iraq…

When you add those two up.. You don’t get 3.. You get political posturing. Fodder for the failing Republican candidates. Words that they can use to placate Republican voters that have become disillusioned by this regimes failure to:

1. Formulate and execute a winning plan for the Iraq debacle..

2. Adapt to situations as they appear in Iraq. The failure to formulate a winning plan. And the failure to accept a change in policy, from those who have the knowledge and experience to produce a winning plan....

3. The failure to rid the world of Saddam. In fact giving him a greater presence. Allowing him to announce from a court room. Americas failures..

4. The above failures drawing all of our military resources, producing the inability to capture Osama..

5. Bush’s failure to fire the America’s ‘monument of hatred’ to the world.. RUMMY..

THE REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PARTY OF, ‘CUT AND RUN’.

They cut and run from N. Korea. Now N. Korea has the NUKE..

They cut and run from V.N.

They cut and run from Lebanon..

They have failed in the most miserable way in Iraq. Leaving us with no option but to ‘cut and run’ from Iraq..

The refusal to stay and fight until Osama was captured. Has Allowed Afghanistan to once again return to being the supplier of 95% of the worlds opiates. This just a couple of years after the Taliban had almost totally eliminate the production of opiates..

Voters. Don’t go to the polls as a parent of a whining, spoiled child. Bush has promised to be better. Not to do it again. To many times..

But:

Look at the Bush history. It is full of unfulfilled or failed promises..

Bush will insist he has ‘political capital’ again. If the Nov. election does not produce a total rebuke of his regimes policies..

VOTE FOR CHANGE.. Staying the course is failing America..

Social Security. And it’s proposed destruction..

Social Security is the Keystone of the current American economy.. It is the publics ability to continue to spend. That keeps all areas of the American economy afloat..

When the going gets tough.. The local market can count on the retired to spend on the 3rd of the month.. The toy store can always count on the retired to spend at holidays and on the Grand kids birthdays.. To take vacations and fill up those empty rooms..

Social Security is insurance.. It is a annuity no different than any private insurance.. Except for the fact that funding for this annuity. Has not been increased in 23 years..

How many times has your Car, health or property insurance been increased in the past 23 years..

Why would anyone praise a private system of insurance that relies on annual rate increases just to hold their heads above water. Then condemn the system of social security whose rate stability can not be matched by any private insurance system. Whose performance as an annuity puts to shame the failures and criminality rampant in the private annuity market..

America is indeed facing a huge economic problem.. But it is not in the Social Security system. Rather it will be in the stock and bond market.. Politicians can argue all they want. But the Social Security loans are secured by the full faith and credit of the United states.

Could the U.S. government default on these loans? Of course. And if pigs had wings they could fly.. The reality is.. Before the U.S. defaulted on the loans to Social Security. The Stock and Bond market would collapse..

So now I have exposed the true reason for Bush’s privatization of social security.. The purpose is to cause a huge flow of money into the Stock market. Creating a false wealth.

The same false wealth that was created when the 401k’s first took off.. The infusion of new money.. Not a true investment. Rather the buying into a pyramid scheme.. The problem with this scheme is that Joe schmuck. Who is FORCED to invest his $25 dollars a week in to the market for 40 years... Is in competition with those market sharks that have no rules. No restrictions. Buying and selling at every whim.. Being sure to withdraw from the market. Just before you are set to retire. Drawing the stock market down to zero. The day before you get your gold watch..

How can America be so foolish to accept the idea that owning a piece of paper, that comes with no guarantee. Is part of a ownership society.. How can we be so foolish as to prop up a market that has become a gamble instead of a investment..

It is widely believed that 50% of Americans own stocks. That is a lie. Only ¾ of 1% of Americans actually own a stock.. Indeed 50% of Americans IN SOME WAY are invested in the stock market. But this figure includes union pension plans and the like.. If you actually hold a stock certificate. You are one of the few..

Some of the most experienced stock market analysts worked for Airline pension plans. What happened to their investments after the 2000 fall of the market. Municipal plans. What happened to them? Now wonder how you would succeed in the market and work 60 hours a week..

Bush’s plan called for a maximum investment of 1% the first year.. That means millions of Americans. That work part time or near minimum wage would be investing less than $80/year.. $7/month… $2/week… Can you now imagine your nest egg at 65 years old.. Are we all going to Paris in the summer?

If the individuals had to pay a flat 100/year fund fee. They would be in debt for the rest of their life, $20 every year.

At 100/year fund fee. The fund manager would have to support 1000 clients.. To GROSS $100 thousand a year.. How many hours of phone calls a day, per client could this manager actually handle? Not very likely..

The average 401k plan today is about $50 thousand dollars. Turn that into a lifetime annuity as will be required by Bush’s Privatization plan. And the plan combined with about $500/ month. Will pay for your health insurance..

Fix Social Security. Not the stock/bond market..

Lower the Federal debt. And raise the Social Security premiums to make them forever solvent..

Does GOD endorse the elimination of the estate tax?

The War in Iraq.?

Un-secure borders?

Guantanamo?

Torture?

Warrant less eavesdropping?

Elimination of the Social Security Program?

The Taliban?

I guess my point is.

What does GOD think about a image of him or his name on a political poster..

Or the misuse of his name from either a pulpit or a presidential podium..

Subject: Rattle Snake Caught at Devil's Lake

Check out the size of the rattlesnake caught up in Devil's Lake Park .

I think the picture was taken at the Badger Ammunition facility.

It was 9 feet long and 80 pounds or something like that.

Kind of makes you wonder about running around on trails in just shorts.

No N. Korean Nuke.. It’s Clintons fault…

No radiation has been detected since the supposed Korean nuke explosion. The first words out of Rice, McCain, and Bush. Put the blame on Clinton..

Clinton’s policy indeed worKed..

History starts anew today..

This event again shows the Bush Regime’s failure to accept responsibility for any of their actions…

Can Capitalism survive WITHOUT GOVERNMENT AND LAWS??

NO

TK says:

The only free enterprising without government would be buccaneering

The following is a bit of my wordsmithery.. It is an example of 'The government', acting as the vehicle's that keeps the economy running.

Capitalism can not survive in the presence of crime or corruption.

Unless laws are created to offset the ill effects of the law breakers.

The minimum wage is one of the offsets. The crime.. Illegal immigration.

AND THE ILLEGAL HIRING OF THESE CRIMINALS.....

For this discussion I will add, GOVERNMENTS COST MONEY. How much it costs is open to discussion.. But the people and the people who own corporations, determine the cost.. Not Government..

Unless you wish to be a hermit and measure your wealth in pecans.

Society and socializing is the purpose of our existence.

And government is the guarantor of our society..

What do you call a man with half a brain?
Gifted

Why do men have slits in their underware?
So they can get oxygen to their brains.

Why are vibrators better than men?
Because they never screw other women, never come in drunk, and you don't have to do their laundry!

How can you tell if a man is a Male Chauvinist Pig?
He thinks "harass" is two words

How does a man show he's planning for the Future?
He buys two cases of beer instead of one.

Why do men want to marry virgins?
They can't stand criticism.

What is a man's idea of foreplay?
A half hour of begging.

What do you call a handcuffed man?
Trustworthy.

How can you tell when a man is well hung?
When you can just barely slip your finger in between his neck and the noose

What do men and pantyhose have in common?
They either cling, run or don't fit right in the crotch!

Scientists have discovered a food that diminishes a woman's sex drive by 90%!!! Its called wedding cake.

In the beginning, God created the earth and rested. Then God created man, and rested. Then God created woman. Since then neither God nor man have rested.

A man inserted an advertisement in the classified. In read: "Wife Wanted" The next day he received a hundred letters. They all said the same thing: You can have mine.

The most effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it once.

If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first? The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.

What's worse than a male chauvinist pig? A women who won't do what she's told.

What do you call a woman who just lost 90% of her intelligence? Divorced.

Pentagon Cancels Terrorism Betting Plan

By KEN GUGGENHEIM
The Associated Press
Tuesday, July 29, 2003; 7:06 PM

WASHINGTON - Under fire from all sides, the Pentagon on Tuesday dropped plans for a futures market that would have allowed traders to profit from accurate predictions on terrorism, assassinations and other events in the Middle East.

Republicans said they knew nothing about the program and would never have approved it. They called the head of the Pentagon agency overseeing the project to Capitol Hill to answer questions.

Democrats demanded details of any related Pentagon programs, an apology from the Bush administration and the firing of those responsible for the market.

"I think those who thought it up ought not only close down the program. They ought not be on the public payroll any longer," said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D, at a news conference.

At a hearing where senators criticized the program, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz said, "I share your shock at this kind of program." But he also defended the Pentagon office that came up with the project, saying "it is brilliantly imaginative in places where we want them to be imaginative."

Dorgan and Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., touched off the furor Monday by disclosing details of the Policy Analysis Market, a project that seemed so bizarre that some lawmakers said they thought it was a hoax.

The Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, working with two private partners, would have set up an Internet futures trading market on events in the Middle East. Traders could buy and sell futures contracts based on their predictions about what would happen in the region. Examples given on the market's Web site included the assassination of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and a biological weapons attack on Israel.

Investors were to begin registering Friday and trading was to begin Oct. 1.

From the trading patterns, the Pentagon agency, known as DARPA, hoped to gain clues about possible terrorist attacks. In statements Monday and Tuesday, it said markets are often better than experts in making predictions.

But the response from both parties was outrage.

"This program could provide an incentive actually to commit acts of terrorism," Democratic Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota said on the Senate floor. He described it as a "plan to trade in death."

Majority Leader Bill Frist of Tennessee asked Appropriations Committee Chairman Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, and Armed Services Chairman John Warner, R-Va., to make sure the market wasn't funded.

"I cannot conceive of any reason why the United States government should be involved in a project of this nature," Frist said.

By late morning, Warner and Wolfowitz, at separate hearings, announced the program would be ended.

As he praised DARPA at a Senate Foreign Relations hearing, Wolfowitz said with a smile, "It sounds like maybe they got too imaginative."

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., told Wolfowitz, "I don't think we can laugh off that program."

"There is something very sick about it," she said. "And if it's going to end, I think you ought to end the careers of whoever it was thought that up. Because terrorists knowing they were planning an attack could have bet on the attack and collected a lot of money. It's a sick idea."

Warner said he had spoken with the head of DARPA, Tony Tether, who agreed the program should end.

Warner said in an interview that DARPA "didn't think through the full ramifications of the program."

Senators said they had only vague information about the DARPA project that included the market. That project, FutureMAP, or "Futures Markets Applied to Predictions," will end along with the market Web site, the Pentagon said.

The Pentagon had requested $3 million for FutureMAP next year. The senators said the money attracted little attention in the overall the $3 billion DARPA budget proposal.

About $750,000 had been approved for FutureMAP in past budgets.

"It's totally unauthorized as far as we're concerned," Stevens said. "No funds should have been used for it at all. It's really a serious mistake on the part of DARPA."

Tether was called to Capitol Hill to meet with Warner and Sen. Pat Roberts, chairman of the Intelligence Committee and Armed Services' emerging threats subcommittee.

Warner's spokesman, John Ullyot, described the meeting as businesslike and professional. He said the senators will submit written questions to Tether and will await responses before deciding if hearings or other actions are needed.

Tether was asked as he left whether retired Adm. John Poindexter, who runs the DARPA division that included the market program, would keep his job.

"I don't see why not," he said.

Poindexter, who runs DARPA's Information Awareness Office, is used to political storms. A former national security adviser to President Reagan, Poindexter was a key figure in the 1980s Iran-Contra scandal. In addition to FutureMAP, his office oversees the Terrorism Information Awareness project, a computerized surveillance program that has raised privacy concerns.

Asked if Poindexter remained on the DARPA payroll, Pentagon spokesman Lawrence Di Rita said, "At the moment, Admiral Poindexter continues to serve in DARPA."

McCain, Rice and Bush Jr. Lie again….

In releasing the funding, President George W Bush waived the Framework's requirement that North Korea allow inspectors to ensure it has not hidden away any weapons-grade plutonium from the original reactors.

Entire article follows..

From:

http://www.netscape.com/vie...

US grants N Korea nuclear funds
Hammer and sickle flag in Pyongyang
Pyongyang threatened to pull out of the nuclear deal
The US Government has announced that it will release $95m to North Korea as part of an agreement to replace the Stalinist country's own nuclear programme, which the US suspected was being misused.

Under the 1994 Agreed Framework an international consortium is building two proliferation-proof nuclear reactors and providing fuel oil for North Korea while the reactors are being built.

In releasing the funding, President George W Bush waived the Framework's requirement that North Korea allow inspectors to ensure it has not hidden away any weapons-grade plutonium from the original reactors.

President Bush argued that the decision was "vital to the national security interests of the United States".

Deal under threat

North Korea has repeatedly threatened to withdraw from the agreement in recent weeks.

It has been angered by President Bush's accusation that Pyongyang was part of an "axis of evil" producing weapons of mass destruction.

This annoyance was compounded by Washington's decision to withhold this year's certification that North Korea is keeping its side of the Agreed Framework.

It has systematically refused to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors into its nuclear facility at the Yongbyon research base north of the capital.

Delayed

Pyongyang has justified its refusals by pointing out that the reactors are way behind schedule.

They were originally expected to have been completed next year, but now construction is not expected to even begin until August.

Another issue is the different interpretations of the inspections' timing.

According to the Framework, North Korea should be fully compliant with IAEA safeguards when "a significant proportion" of the project is completed.

The builders say that will be around May 2005, and given the inspections will take at least three years, this means that North Korea should start admitting inspectors now.

But Pyongyang believes that they should only allow the inspections to start, rather than finish, by that date.

The head of the Non-proliferation Policy Education Centre in Washington, a critic of the Agreed Framework, has warned that even when the new reactors are completed they may not be tamper-proof.

"These reactors are like all reactors, They have the potential to make weapons. So you might end up supplying the worst nuclear violator with the means to acquire the very weapons we're trying to prevent it acquiring," Henry Sokolski told the Far Eastern Economic Review.

Is this religion?

Here's an experiment for everyone. See if you can tell which of the
following statements were made by Islamic fundamentalist Taliban
supporters, and which were made by fundamentalist Christians in the
US. (I've modified some of them slightly to avoid giving the answer
away.)

Answers appear below.

"The (Koran/Bible) says that we should rule. If you don't rule and I
don't rule, the atheists and the agnostics are going to rule. We
should be the head of our nation. We should be taking over every
area of life."

We have a (Koranic/Biblical) duty; we are called by (God/Allah), to
conquer this country."

"We must, from the highest office in the land right down to the
shoeshine boy in the airport, have a return to (Koranic/Biblical)
basics."

"A politician, as a minister of (Allah/God), is a revenger to execute
wrath upon those who do evil . . . The role of government is to
minister justice and to protect the rights of its citizens by being a
terror to evildoers within and without the nation."

"Individual (Christians/Muslims) are the only ones that are qualified
to have the reign, because, hopefully, they will be governed by
(God/Allah) and submit to him.

"No one is fit to govern other people unless first of all something
governs him. And there is only one governor I know of that is
suitable to be judge of all the universe, that's (God/Allah).

"Muslims/Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions."

"We would not accept the tyranny of a democracy because we recognized
that the only sovereign over men and nations was (God/Allah)."

"We do not want a democracy in this land because if we have a
democracy a majority rules."

"Freedom of speech has never been right. We've never had freedom of
speech in this country and we never should have."

"After the (Christian/Muslim) majority takes control, pluralism will
be seen as immoral and evil and the state will not permit anybody the
right to practice evil."

"We must get busy in constructing a (Koran-based/Bible-based) social,
political and religious order which finally denies the religious
liberty of the enemies of (Allah/God)."

"Democracy is evil and contrary to (God's/Allah's) law."

"Let me tell you something else about the character of (Allah/God).
If necessary, (Allah/God) would raise up a tyrant--a man who might
not have the best ethics--to protect the freedom and the interests
of the ethical and the godly."

"These people are vile folks. . . If you deal with these people long
enough, you understand the wisdom of (Allah/God) when he says that
they should be put to death".

"I agree with capital punishment and I believe that
homosexuality...could be coupled with murder and other sins. It
would be the government that sits upon this land who will be
executing the homosexuals."

"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want
you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good... Our
goal is a (Muslim/Christian) nation."

Surprised? You shouldn't be. They've made no secret of it.

War not borders..  Guns not fences...

This argument is ridiculous.. If a nation does not have borders. Then to what does he sing his national anthem.

Were does he derive his patriotism..

A country without borders isn’t a sign of a melting pot..

It describes a imperialist regime.. One that  does not wish to impede the expansion of it’s power, through financial means..

Witness the PNAC desire to spread American influence and democracy.... Yet no desire to recognize our nations borders.. But then bring shame on those democracies that don’t clone that of our own..

American business is drawing wealth from the abuse of human beings.. Plain an simple.. We try to anoint ourselves as saviors.. Preaching that we are providing a land of opportunity.. As if there is something magical about American dirt..

Almost every inch of this world offers opportunity.. Many Americans do good around the world.. Many times in the presence of multi national Corporation greed.. It is the greed. stealing wealth from 3rd world nations. That is denying opportunity..

Instead of standing the minute men on the border. Let’s have them stand in the employment line in the Dodge pickup assembly plant in Sausalito Mexico.. Let’s have them offer to work for 50 cents an hour.. Let’s see the reaction of the Mexican government..

If not a Fence. Is your solution war?? It’s not a new idea!!!

We have already fought three wars. Two involving Mexican presence on what is now America.. The other against the imperialist Canadians. Those warlocks.. Actually whooped our arse’s..

To replay a famous war cry.. Do we let those who died in protecting America. Die in vain?? Remember the Alamo....

Pancho Villa , failed in his attempt to do illegal commerce with America. And was turned back with guns..

A nation either has borders.. Or it has multi national corporation governance.

Not sure our founders had that in mind...

I love the debate.. I am very opinionated.. But I never intentionally hurt or personally attack anyone.. I do say stupid things at times. And for that. Let me apologies in advance..

I know what kills a blog site.. Personal attacks.

I have been blogging on what is the new age blogoshpere since 1997. I have seen many sites come and go..

The ones that last.. Are sites that allow a diverse opinion. One with a bit of humor. And at least one cranky old man..

This site has got all of that.  And a cranky old lady..   :)

Thanks for allowing me to join in..

My house increased in value by 250% in the past five years..

For the DOW to perform at the same level.. It would have had to reach 29450.. Dow has got a way to go before it reaches a REAL record level.. In other words a level adjusted for inflation..

When you can look at your retirement fund annual report. And see a real improvent over the levels you had in the 1998 report.. You can start bragging..

I am tired of hearing that the election shouldn’t be on Foley. Rather it should be on Safety and Security.

What safety is more important. That of our children. Or that of the Big oil interests in the Middle East??

How Bush manipulated the Price of Gas..

First dear pundits. The Name Bush is used to refer to the Bush regime. Not Just the man..

One year ago. After years of rising prices. Bush released huge amounts of Oil from the Strategic Oil Reserve. This Oil was loaned. Not sold. It was loaned with the understanding the fuel would be replaced prior to this September 2006.

Why did this oil have to be replaced during the highest demand period of the year??

Why couldn’t the oil companies, replace this oil:

1. During a low period of usage??

2. After all production taken off line, because of hurricanes . Was returned to production…

Further..

Why wasn’t it made known to the public . That tankers full of crude, unable to off load. Were sitting in the gulf. Waiting for a hurricane and higher prices….

Why wasn’t this monument to creed. Reason enough for Bush to release more oil from the STR?

The demand to fill the STR. Caused a artificial strain on supply….. Causing Americans to pay a unreasonable price for fuel products up through this summer..

For the above reasons. Just months before the elections. There is no place to store another gallon of crude or gasoline. We are at record levels. And have been for over six months .

Bush has had the opportunity to affect the price of oil through the release of STR crude. For the good of the American people. And refused to do so in his first five years.

But when it became clear he could use it for a political advantage.

He pulled out a ace from his sleeve..

Carter brought down the Iron curtain..

While Reagan was bartering guns and drugs with Iran.

The true cause of the Fall of the USSR was their war with Afghanistan… This fiasco cost them so many lives. So Much money and honor. That they never stood a chance to recover and become a world power again…

Who sent in the First troops (CIA) to oppose the Russians’ in Afghanistan?

Who authorized the first funding for Russian opposition?

Why, Good ole Jimmy Carter of course.

What is a Chicken Hawk..

I suppose I have a problem with a person who did not live through a period of a Active draft. Redefining the term Chicken Hawk.

A Chicken Hawk isn’t someone who obtained a deferment from the draft..

But the College football tackle. Who obtained a deferment to AVOID the draft. Who then threw rocks at the war protester. The VN vet Amputee, in a wheelchair, who was protesting a war he thought America shouldn‘t be involved in....

Yea, Maybe he is a Chicken Hawk.

The guy who took band in college to AVOID the draft. Then learned how to play the Trumpet. And who today, stands at the end of the pier, playing the ‘Battle Hymn of the Republic‘, as the ships take our men marching off to war.

Yea, Maybe he is a Chicken Hawk..

Taliban….

Does that experiment in Commingling of Church and State ring a bell..

America’s involvement in both Iraq and Afghanistan, is in most part a battle with warring religious groups..

When you start expanding the role of religion in government.. Remember yours isn’t the only one..

Remember The Jewish religion, Protestant religion, Catholic religion, Muslim , Hindu, Buddhism. Satanism..

The list goes on and on..

Do you expect to give all these religions equal rights within your government?

I do.. I expect them to all to stay out of politics and Government..

Remember in the 2004 elections..

The Pope stated that the war in Iraq was a unjust War..

There were Bishops saying it was a sin to vote for Kerry.. Because of his stand on abortion..

This year we have those that are anti abortion and pro stem cell…

I am not Catholic. But one of the most brilliant ideas I have heard was stated by Pope Paul..

The Pope stated that voters should vote a consistent ethics of life..

If your issue is saving lives. Then your decisions should be based on what you believe would do the most good.

The stem cell issue is unproven. It’s effects on life unsure..

Abortion is a individual issue. Laws against which have done nothing to deter it..

The war in Iraq. Kills over 100 people a day..

Concerning the Iraq War

Every single decision made prior to the Bush regime, relied on Containment to control Iraq, Iran and other nations.. And it was working..

There was talk of war. There were pin point military strikes to bring home a point. But no massive destruction of a nations people and their infrastructure…

Clinton and his regime new then, What Bush has yet to learn. Muslims, Iraqi, Iranians and the rest are not the enemy. Rogue criminals are the enemy. And in many cases these rogues, Such as Saddam and Osama. Are leaders that America itself first empowered…

There is absolutely no connection between Iraq and 9/11

Every single decision after 9/11 was based on false, and quite possibly deliberately false intelligence, provided by the president and his administration…

A decision to accept as true, a presidents proclamation, can not be labeled a bad trait. In a time of strife such as that following 9/11. Statements may have to be made, based on faith and not fact..

That was what happened after 9/11.

The Bush regime provided Congress. Not just democrats. But also Republicans. Facts that were not true..

Period…

And Bush and his regime played that to a hilt. Labeling, just prior to a major election, anyone who disagreed with him, cowards and terrorist supporters.

The Bush current explanation for his wire taps are more recent examples of the Bush regime era of deception…

What could possibly be the reason for withholding this information from scrutiny.. (48 hr Warrant). The targets have already been swooped out of their beds in the middle of the night. Is there anyone that is involved in the  plot not already informed? Are all Judges Treasonous?

It appears that in this matter. The question is not of legality..

It is a question of erasing a moment in time from history..

With the wastefulness, criminal neglect and criminality being carried out with taxpayer money in Iraq. It is getting difficult to separate friend from foe…

America is the only industrialized nation in the world that does not have a government sponsored, single payer health system.
And it is The LEAST accessible. MOST Expensive . Ranked only 37th in level of care...From:

 http://www.photius.com/rank...

The World Health Organization's ranking
of the world's health systems.
Source: WHO World Health Report - See also Spreadsheet Details (731kb)

------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------

Rank Country

1 France
2 Italy
3 San Marino
4 Andorra

34 Denmark
35 Dominica
36 Costa Rica
37 United States of America
38 Slovenia
39 Cuba

Question?      So it would appear the WHO assessment not only takes into account quality and accessibility, but fairness of financial contribution. Fair is not an objective term. Is taxing higher income individuals more than lower income individuals for the same health care fair?

TK continues:

According to Adam Smith, ‘Wealth of Nations’.

Yes, It is in fact a part of a system of the, ‘Redistribution of Wealth’. A necessary requirement for Capitalism to succeed.

Far right Conservatives. Are in indeed some of the worst Adam Smith Capitalists in the World.. (translates to selfish )

Smith Says:

Before I enter upon the examination of particular taxes, it is necessary to premise the four following maxims with regard to taxes in general.

V.2.24
I. The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities; that is, in proportion to the revenue which they respectively enjoy under the protection of the state. The expence of government to the individuals of a great nation is like the expence of management to the joint tenants of a great estate, who are all obliged to contribute in proportion to their respective interests in the estate. In the observation or neglect of this maxim consists what is called the equality or inequality of taxation. Every tax, it must be observed once for all, which falls finally upon one only of the three sorts of revenue above mentioned, is necessarily unequal in so far as it does not affect the other two. In the following examination of different taxes I shall seldom take much further notice of this sort of inequality, but shall, in most cases, confine my observations to that inequality which is occasioned by a particular tax falling unequally even upon that particular sort of private revenue which is affected by it.

TK Continues:

Just because life is not fair. Does not mean the concept of fairness is devoid of value..

The saying does not have anything to do with:

A struggle to attain fairness. A quest to the mountain top. .

It simple means. You don’t always get to win..

But then I suppose. There is nothing unfair about that…

Fair is what the Democratic Republic says it is.. In this society. Fair is Walnuts. . Go to the mountains.. Squirrel away your pecans. They are no good in a walnut society..

So much is made of what detractors would like to call a socialized medical system.. How it would be a step toward a loss of freedom in America..

The goal is not a socialized medical system but rather a single payer system like those used all over the world. How fragile can your freedoms be. If they can vaporize in the presence of good health care.. Of course we can argue the straw man ..

Ideology.

TK continues…

Absolute Freedom does exist. It is just not one that you will endure or endorse....

It’s called Isolation.

If your freedom is so absolute. How can you express it without imposing un-freedom on others?? Can you affect your own ends. Without affecting my ends?

What if you fail in your quest to your ends. Is any obligation imposed on me? The fact that I must, or must not, watch you struggle? Should it re-enforce my freedom.

Make me laugh. Make me sad? If it makes me do anything.. Am I really free?

I most certainly do not recognize any absolute about a freedom such as that..

The fact that there must be winners and losers. Does not mean the process is unfair.

It is the methods used to determine the winners and losers that determines the fairness..

Now if you don’t like the process. Then you are free to go or stay.. Just cause no harm..

Better to have one choice in health care…..

Than, to not have a choice, because you are excluded.

That’s Why America is standing proud at #37... Tens of millions of Americans, excluded from any form of health care, other than life support.. And the duration of that life support, determined by committee..

So much for the idea that Universal health care takes away your power of Choice. America’s health Care power of choice is denied because of financial ability.

I have had broken bones. Hepatitis, herniated disks, torn muscles. Spondyliotheisis, syringomyelia, cancer, fibromylecia. And all the normal sicknesses. Many things that could have killed me. So I consider myself quite lucky.

But luck is no way to run a health care system..

One only needs to know one truth to come to a conclusion.

Did the cost of drugs go up?

Answer. Undeniably. The cost of medications have risen dramatically since the passage of Medicare part D.. After congress forbade Medicare the right to negotiate drug prices..

In fact for a majority of those, under Medicare, who had large drug costs. Their out of pocket expenses have dramatically increased.

This is due to the donut hole provision.

Most participants in the Medicare part d program were involuntarily enrolled through their HMO or other Medicare insurance supplement.

Prior to Medicare part d. All HMO’s in this area provided unlimited generic drug prescription services. So those with high prescription costs, had a increase of almost $1500.00 due to the donut hole provision.

All this while the VA is able to reduce costs, by negotiating price and importing from Canada.

In the case of Wal-Mart. It appears that Target has decided to match drug prices..

$4.00 dollars for generic prescription..

Does this action mean that in the past. I was being over charged when I paid my 10 dollar co-pay? Was the excess amount I was paying. Being applied to bring down the cost of more expensive drugs.. Was this collusion again. Between insurers and pharmacy. A deception. A misrepresentation to the insured? What will my health insurer have for a reply to that.. Doesn’t the insurer have a fiduciary responsibility to protect the insured? Not the Pharmacist.

This thing has opened up a lot of wounds I believe..

Less than a mile from my house. There is a Costco, Save on, Rite Aide, and Walgreens.. Plus a private pharmacy in a shopping center.. All of these are on a busy corner lot.

And a Wal-Mart less than three miles away..

Evangelicals. Accepting without question your faith .. Please tell.

What has your politics returned. How has this President rewarded you, in exchange for two terms at the helm.

Two SCOTUS Justices that Pro Choice Rudy Giuliani said he would have nominated…. Has the abortion issue been swift boated?

The Teri Schiavo fiasco?

Are we for Stem Cell research.. Before we are against it??? Mr. Frist..

Republican pedophiles writing our child predator laws..

Fiscal conservatives have failed in their calling.. Are they really liberals in disguise?

Neo conservatives have wasted America’s honor, in a un-just war, planned incompetently..

Evangelicals… You stuck to your principles. Yet, you were abandoned..
