Middle class baby boomers are ready to retire. They have homes. They have cars, they have debt.
They are the majority of the voting public.
They are ready to cash in their stocks. In a short time they will cash in their 401k’s etc.
They need guaranteed income.

Hydrogen Engine Reaches Diesel Efficiency

The BMW Group and researchers in Austria have succeeded in developing a hydrogen combustion engine with a diesel-like design and high-pressure direct injection technology. The newly developed combustion system combines the strengths of spark-ignition and diesel concepts, while utilizing the combustion properties of hydrogen. The result is an efficiency level of up to 42 percent, on par with the best turbodiesel engines.
BMW engineers developed a new cylinder head for hydrogen operation based on a production diesel engine. The combustion chamber of the engine was configured using numerical flow simulation. Special high-pressure injectors directly inject hydrogen into the combustion chambers with pressures of up to nearly 4,500 psi.
Extensive test runs have shown that a combination of spark-ignition and diesel combustion systems using surface ignition followed by a diffusion type of combustion is the ideal solution for efficiency, power and fuel economy. Further increases in efficiency will be possible in the future by recovering waste heat.
“In light of the limited availability of fossil fuels and the rising environmental impact from harmful emissions, we are convinced that the H2 combustion engine will assume an important position in the product portfolio of future alternative drive concepts.” said Professor Dr. Raymond Freymann, for BMW.

More Snow than they have seen in a long long time.
Many claim that Obama wants to provide everyone free health care. This is not true of course. Single payer health care is not free. It is paid for by our citizens.
But of course there are those who also consider company provided health care to be free health care also. But the good kind. You know the kind provided by Corporate insurance companies.
It is that chain of thought that has always made me fearful of a republican led economy.
No matter how far down the Republican mindset draws our economy. They will for ever resist change. That’s the definition of Conservatism.
Greedy crooked corporations and their officers got us into this mess. Complicity by the Bush regime in their failure to throw the crooked bums in jail. Is not an indication that government has failed. It indicates a failure of a man. It indicates the failure of an ideology. It indicates that there must be change.
And the people have chosen change.
Conservatives lack the ability to change.
It may be to late.
There may come a time when we have to start the DOW out all over at -0-.
It may come a time when all our homes drop to a value of -0-.
We may have to start out all over with penny candies and nickel bus rides. But I don’t see the great harm in that.
As long as we have a government that keeps the factories open.
Keeps the farms producing.
We will begin a process of growth.
And hopefully the process will be in direct opposition to the travesty that we have just journeyed through.
I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking
homeless woman who asked me for a couple of
dollars for dinner.?
I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked,
'If I give you this money, will you buy wine
with it instead of dinner?'?
'No, I had to stop drinking years ago',
the homeless woman told me.
'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked.
'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless
woman said.
'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.'
'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.
'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't
had my hair done in 20 years!'
'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money.
Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'
The homeless Woman was shocked. 'Won't your husband
be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty,
and I probably smell pretty disgusting.'?
I said, 'That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine.'??

Enough crude to fill 15 million cars for a year.
The latest government records show U.S. inventories are bloated with a virtual sea of surplus crude, enough to fuel 15 million cars for a year. Inventories have grown by 26 million barrels since the beginning of the year alone. Oil from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria is finding few takers, even though much of it is used to make gasoline in the United States.

Romney picked as 2012 GOP front-runner
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Conservative activists on Saturday named former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney the winner of a poll for best 2012 GOP presidential candidate.
The poll marked the third consecutive year Romney came out on top.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal placed second in the annual poll, conducted at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
Romney received 20 percent of the vote and Jindal got 14 percent.
Close behind were Texas Rep. Ron Paul and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who each received 13 percent of the vote.
The results were culled over two days from 1,757 of the party activists who came to Washington for the annual conference and filled out ballots on Thursday and Friday. Nearly 60 percent of the straw poll participants were between the ages of 18 and 25. More than half of the conference attendees this year were college students.
