Nicole Parra is being kicked out of the Capitol.
Her staff of four is busy packing after receiving an order at 11:30 a.m. today to be out by 4 p.m., said her chief of staff, Derek Chernow.
Parra is not involved in the packing — she’s still on the floor.
“We’re doing what we can to pack up her personal belongings,” Chernow said.
Parra will be the only legislator without a Capitol office, he said. Instead, she will be in the Legislative Office Building, Room 175, across the street from the Capitol — a space about a third the size of the office she’s being evicted from, Chernow said.
“I’ve never heard of a legislator working out of the LOB,” he said.
He said he couldn’t say why Parra was ordered out.
In a Sunday night budget vote, Parra, D-Hanford, didn’t cast a vote. The budget proposal got 45 votes and needed 54 to pass, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Parra has also riled local Democratic party faithful for seeming to back Republican Danny Gilmore instead of Democrat Fran Florez for her Assembly seat in November.

Now Kids, play nice and share your office building..............
