My career is about ot take off...
So after a long day interview i spoke wiht Extraordinaire in Bakersfield, CA and i found i can trust them even after Caporali Films screwed me out of 300 dollars for acting . Now im going to Los Angeles in January for the International Modeling and Talent Auditions which is my spot to compete in everything from commercials, to film, to theather, to fashion print, im too short for runway :P, but i dont plan on moving on ifi get those big contracts from companies like AT&T, NIKE, etc... I plan on staying in bakersfield. The downside is i have raise 4000.00 to pay for my entry fee, rooms, flights etc, The Delano Record has agreed to run my sponsorship letter to get businesses to sponsor me and help out with donations ranging from anything from 100.00 to 500.00. Off course the businesses will have to trust that this is a serious career move for me. On top i can advertise and model for them or appear in any advertising methods they like such as tv, radio, print ads, tv. I have to create a portfolio of business that have helped me get there so i can show the bigger corporations and also help the smaller ones get recognized. Cinco De Mayo organization has agreed also to speak about it on their meeting to help raise money. If you know anyone that can help or you wnt to donate nd see this legitimate contact Extraordinaire Talent and Models at 661-397-4440 or myself thru email at usafbonilla@gmail.com or more personal my cell at 530-219-2855. Even if i get contracts with large companies I will stay here in kern county and keep my roots here. Now dont think im doing this because someone told me im hot or handsome or someone said im a great actor. NO I chose this career move to show my ex wife and my son that i refuse to be a regular joe, after 7 years in the military all they did was kick me out fo rmedical conditions then my exwife ran off. I will make my son proud, my hispanic heritage roud but most of all Kern county will be proud. 9 comments from 6 users

I have heard if you have to pay to 'audition' for modeling and acting, it's pretty much a scam. If an agency feels you have talent or the looks to be successful in the industry, they will sign you for free... posted by

well its not jsut that they will train me and prepare me for them. i also been told they should sign me for free and i researched them on the Better Business Bereau. The thing that pushes me not to give up was i met Tom Sizemore thanks to Caporali and i was whooo and awwed because he was the perfefct roel io wanted to be nothing but military movies like pearl harbor, blackhawk down. Then i read about his recent issues in Kern County and i was embarrased and said I refuse to let some big shot out of hollywood make a mockery out of kern county. posted by

usaf, good luck to you. I'd be really careful with all these businesses. I'd also look into working directly for some local ad agencies rather than going through an agent. You could also audition for local theater and film groups. You might also check out stuff on Bakotopia. A quick site search for "casting" shows all this stuff locally: http://www.bakotopia.com/ho... posted by

I would suggest BEFORE you pay out any monies to contact District Attorney John Mitchell. His office will advise you if this is a legitimate thing to do. Many people have been dissatisfied with things such as what you are explaining. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL. posted by

I'm going to have to go with SCM here. My granddaughter got caught up in the magic once and passed all the auditions right up until they told her she would have to pay to go any further. Legitimate modeling agencies won't ask YOU for up front money. I don't want to burst your bubble or your dream but I hate to see anyone taken for a ride. Talk with agencies who actually hire models and not with companies who want you to pay them to do it for you. If this company says they will sign you for free then that's just what it should be. Free. maybe with a commission when you get work. This sounds like a contest, and not an opportunity. Now that I've said all that, I fully expect you to continue on your path as I've found that most people have already made up their minds when they make announcements like this. Like with our kids, I hope you don't have occasion to come back and say "Why didn't someone warn me?" I wish you good luck and really hope it works out for you. posted by

I THINK IT IS A SCAM THAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR MONEY TO FURTHER YOUR CAREER. HEY EVERYONE, I WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND GET MY MASTERS DEGREE. HOW ABOUT SENDING ME ANYWHERE FROM 100.00 TO 500.00 DOLLARS SO I CAN MAKE MORE MONEY. posted by

This is true im sure i will talk with them today and find out exactly why im paying up front money. But ona different note is it just me or does Palin's speech seem insulting? Im not big into politics but when you show the kind of words she portrayed as a Senator when you got a teenage daugther whos only 17 years old and pregnant you should be more humble about it. I think McCain is degenarating women by putting a woman on the VP slot and is only using her as a mockery from the recent run between hillary and obama. I like Obama but Biden doesnt have my appeal. And McCain uses his POW too much as a crutch and his GI Bill was a slap in the face to us vets who need it. I Personally wont ever use my GI BIll since im going to school for Police POST and thats ym dream job that i wont deviate from, but it would be nice ifi could pass on my GI BILL benefits to my son since they will just go to waste and most classes wont use up the full 25,000 or full 40,000 on college courses posted by

Agencies make their money on their cut of the pay for each job. If they think you will be successful, they will see the dollar signs and sign you...
