Craig Rennie Details: On Friday, May 9th at approximately 8:43 PM, Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a report of shots being fired in the 800 block of Lomita Dr. in Bakersfield. Deputies arrived and found a Hispanic Male in front of 826 Lomita suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Kern Medical Center where he died a short time later. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim was confronted at the residence by a Hispanic male, approximately 30 - 35 years old who was driving a red or burgandy Ford 4-door compact car with paper plates. The suspect confronted the victim, fired several rounds at him with a handgun, then fled in his vehicle southbound on Lomita. No other suspects were seen. No arrests have been made.
