It says she lived in Bakersfield for a bit, where she enlisted in the Navy. &nbsp;Which explains why the Department of Defense said that's where she's from, although, as the story explains, she was born in Illinois and that's where her parents are now. I think he was found dead at training camp and his valuables were missing.  I guess the military said he was disturbed because he told a lie that he was married when he really wasn't. He probably just wanted to fit in. Marriage is really popular in the mililtary. The troops want someone to come home to.</p> <p>What's the suicide rate for vets? Is it 17 a month?
