Motorists approaching the checkpoint will see informational signs advising them of the impending checkpoint ahead. Once stopped by an officer, motorists will be detained for a few moments while the purpose of the checkpoint is explained, and drivers license's are checked. If traffic volume permits, all vehicles will be screened. If traffic volume is to heavy or congested, vehicles to be screened will be selected by a pre-set standard, such as every other vehicle, or every third vehicle, ect. This is to assure objectivity.
