Upon arrival, fire crews were faced with a male construction worker who slipped while walking along the edge of an open trench. Firefighters entered the area to assess the patient, he was placed and secured onto a rescue stretcher and safely raised to the surface using rope hauling system. The victim was transported to a local area hospital via air ambulance. There were no reported injuries to firefighters.
