I haven't been to Staples center, but at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, they don't have metal detectors or the wands that I've seen, and only scan your ticket and tell you to have a great time...with a smile. It's a very friendly atmosphere. Now of course there are a bunch of cops outside the doors just in case. I guess with all the trouble they've had in LA after those Lakers championships I can understand why they would want/need tighter security. I don't anticipate too many riots after a Condors game, even if they win the championship.
