Fed officials are considering tighter restrictions on credit card companies.
Namely, according to several wire service reports, the Office of Thrift Supervision and the National Credit Union Administration (now there's a mouthful) seek to prevent the companies from boosting interest rates on existing debt in most cases.
What do you think? Have you run into this?
In this tough economy, are you using credit cards more?

May 3, 2008 at 05:05 PM : I had credit cards...

I had credit cards years ago, then I realized I was paying up to 50% more for the item I'd purchased than if I'd saved and paid cash. Got rid of them and haven't looked back

I deal in US dollars, if I can't buy it at the time I find it, I save for it. It's eliminated a lot of frivolous purchases over the years.
