It is entirely possible that perhaps his hostile public castigation is just an unfortunate and unmeant act illustrating the penchant of bloggers to sometimes stray from logic to mete verbal punishment of their perceived enemies for some unknown, undefined sin or another. But I'm really not expecting to hear that he will have had an epiphany. The last I heard from Pub he was quite reminiscent of the very bellicose James Carville defending the use of plays out of Carl Rove's tactical manual saying he had "no humility" and would continue such savagery giving "as good as he gets." Carville's recent slam of Bill Richardson as a "Judas Iscariot taking the proverbial 30 pieces of silver" best illustrates the questionable tactic. I would argue that Carville's stubborn refusal to refute the civility of his attack didn't help Carville's credibility factor nor would that same sort of behavior raise Pub's general likability quotient. I doubt that Pub cares a whit, but the fact is, his rancorous tactic of using personal denigration to diminish the substance of an opponent's views is largely what lies at the core of our opposing fundamental philosophical and political differences.
