Stallion Springs says no to gangs - Bakosphere - bakosphere's Blog - Bakersfield.com

The idyllic mountain community of Stallion Springs in Tehachapi is known for its golf course with a house-sized boulder in the middle of the 18th fairway, peaceful mountain living, old men walking small dogs, and not much else.
It's not known for gangs.
And residents intend to keep it that way.
Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!
A Stallion Springs Police Department sergeant told locals to keep a close watch for people who don't look like they belong.
So if you don't have a Grizzly Adams' beard or a golf bag, then stay the hell away!

Keeping gangs out of your neighborhood sounds reasonable and prudent.

No good comes of gangsters and their illicit and violent activities.

If you can keep 'em out, great.

Nearby Bear Valley Springs and other exclusive enclaves are gated (some are manned 24/7) and it works to the benefit of residents.

Bear Valley Springs even maintains its own armed private police force.

Too bad more areas within the crime infested cities are unable to better control access to their neighborhoods and keep gangsters and other criminals at bay. Maybe there would be less home invasions and killings.
