We know you've all been waiting on the edge of your seats for any tidbit of news related to the movie "Giant Ants Eat Bakersfield."
Well, wait no more: a trailer for the movie, which is still in early stages production, found its way online today. The trailer, described as a music intro to generate interest in the movie, features a large plastic-looking ant hugging a man in front of a KUZZ van and near Buck Owens' Crystal Palace. An original acoustic tune plays in the background.
Filmmaker Hank Ray Harwood says the film is "a metaphor for corporate entertainment that stole Bakersfield's music legacy."
Should production continue or do you get the idea?

SORRY TO "BUG" YOU WITH MY "ANT"ICS .The ant is not plastic but fiberglass, Bondo and black rubberized undercoat.

I tried to find a real ant this size but couldn't - except for ANT B from the old Andy Grifith show, she was more like a whale than an ant. Aunt ant situation! I have been looking for help making the actual film, which has not begun as yet. I need some one to play a young Buck Owens in this ant film and another indy film "Bakersfield Sound" . Thank you for all the kind words.

The ant is supposed to look fake- like in those old classic 50's "b" movies

Thanks for the details, Hank. Sorry I missed the plastic vs. Fiberglas distinction. We love your passion and enthusiasm.

So, here's the next step: Who looks like a young Buck Owens who is willing to step up and make these movies happen?
