KERO, Channel 23, has taken a look back at the making of Michael Jackson's music video for the song "Childhood," which was shot in forest near Mount Pinos, in southern Kern County, in 1995.
The station interviewed local residents who remember the four-day shoot as being very secretive, and Jackson as a quiet guy who came out of his trailer only for filming at night.

This soldier story sounds very fishy. How was he able to walk off the FOB? I think he either snuck off or was lured by some vice (alcohol, drugs, woman, etc.). It's next to impossible for a soldier to walk through a checkpoint and it's damn near impossible for a private to walk around on a base without a "battle buddy". There is more to that story than is being told.
