My family and I have been looking for a rental home preferrably in the SW area of Bakersfield, but I we have been looking all over. I have gotten numbers and address's off of Craigslist, the local paper and signs posted infront of the house or on sign post. It never fails especially with the latino/hispanic population that once they hear that I am from another race they quickly state that it is rented before I can even finish my sentence. I know that people can rent to whom ever they wish too but here is the straw that has broke the camels back, after some time these same homes are still for rent. So I got clever I had friends of mines that are Latino/Hispanic call regarding the house for rent and they are asked how many will be living in the home and when would they like to come and see it. Now I call right back to the same person and again I am told the house is rented. This is also noticealbe in the mailbox papers or the free magazines at the stores that only have some rental's in spanish and it is not in english anywhere believe me I have checked it out. My money is just as good as the next persons. My only sin is the color of my skin..... Welcome to Kern County
