Do you believe prayer will help McCain/Palin win the white house???
Is Obama really Satan ???
Will McCain lead all these religious folks to the promise land ???
Do these religious folks scare you as much as they scare me ???"
Is GOD a fundamentalist Conservative republican ???These people believe so !
WWJD ???
Religious Americans turn to a higher power on the candidates' behalf
AP news They're fasting on the steps of the Florida Capitol, hoping God will hear their pleas to put an abortion opponent in the White House.
Prayer warriors will staff the get-out-the-vote command center Tuesday at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington, Md. A rabbi is distributing a prayer to be said in the voting booth. Prayer circles are seeking courage and protection for Barack Obama and his family.
The faithful are busy as Nov. 4 nears.
While politicians are making their final pitch to voters, religious Americans from across the political spectrum are appealing to a higher power on the candidates' behalf.
"We have just days to pray that someone who upholds the sanctity of life and marriage between one man and one woman will win," said Pam Olsen, co-pastor with her husband of the International House of Prayer in Tallahassee, Fla.
Olsen, who personally supports Republican John McCain, is organizing a marathon of prayer, fasting and Bible reading at the Capitol starting Saturday until the state's polls close.
"The outcome is up to God," she said.

Nov 2, 2008 at 06:11 AM : This election has more...

This election has more devisive issues than I'd care to see in one election. The more devisive and controversial, the greater the liklihood there will be extreme views and methods of expressing them. Blame it on our democracy where everyone has an equal voice. Sometimes, people feel a need to shout to be heard.

However the outcome of the elections, the issues are not going to go away. The next big challenge will be reconciling with proponents of the losing side. They are not any less an intergal part of the country. One of the reasons I won't be celebrating if my views prevail.

Hey sage,

Not sure what the blog community was like before the current election cycle. It's a new medium for me, seriously . It's almost overwhelming in an odd sort of way , though it could be the election cycle...

From someone new to this sort of thing, interesting the idea of a "collectivity" ( the notion of a community with a common purpose) can be taken seriously. But I understand how the feeling of it can be there.

This post has rules of conduct that are unspoken...It will be interesting to see how it evolves after the elections are over.
