David Carr is waived - Inside Sports - insidesports's Blog - Bakersfield.com

Well, it happened. The Texans have waived David Carr after five pretty lackluster years.

Carr seems to be the scapegoat for this team and his days had to be numbered after the team passed up Vince Young. Nevermind the kid was sacked like crazy.

Here's hoping he lands somewhere that he can get another change. Although he's pretty highly paid for a backup.

Check out our 2004 gallery on Carr, back when the future was still bright in Houston for him.

Doesn't he hold the league record for being sacked a couple of years in a row? Talk about needing some help in the O line...I hope he lands on his feet.

I'd like to see Carr go to Kansas City or Minnesota, where he would have a chance to start and play behind an offensive line that will actually protect him. If he goes to Oakland, it will be no different than it was in Houston with him laying on his back 95% of the time on a pass play.
