May 18, 2007 at 09:05 AM : Ryan, do you know...

Ryan, do you know anyone at EA Sports? Your ability to showcase a local executive, and have him disappear from the scene, is eerily similar to EA's John Madden Football game franchise for taking top football players who appear on the cover of the game, and end their seasons in futility.

In all seriousness, this smacks of the people in charge, and behind the scene, at the Convention & Visitors Bureau not having the necessary skills in making clear what is expected of the people they hire to front their efforts. I'm also surprised that the Bureau's website does not have any information on the Governing Board for this department. Maybe there isn't one, and this is strictly an Alan Tandy issue. I will say Bob Marx did a great job in diplomacy on his sudden departure. Everyone forced out of a job should study his language skills and ability to keep bridges intact. It still is bothersome that obviously qualified individuals leave an important job with little to show for their efforts and little explanation as to the causes.
