Elaine's has a very relaxed and welcoming vibe. It is like you are visiting a friend's home and they tell you to kick back and make yourself comfortable. This may be because the owners are very gracious and friendly. The food is not too bad either.
I had the Red Pepper sandwich with kalamato olives, spinach, and mock blue cheese washed down with the Rose Tea. I was quite impressed and satiated. They do have a fairly small menu, but...

The Ice Cream is just the best, healthiest choice out there. And it tastes GREAT!!! Have to get it every time.
Can't wait for the bakery to open...heard about the cakes and pies.

I just discovered La Rosa Fruit Bars and they are wonderful! They really taste like fruit and are a great way to cool off in the Bakersfield heat. I can't wait to try all the flavors. My favorites so far are the Lemon Lime Fruit Bar and the Coconut Cream Bar. Next...I try the Pineapple. It's a great idea for parties and you can even rent the push cart. Thanks for making such a wonderful product.
