1969 – July 11, 1969, Harland Stonecipher is involved in a head-on collision which results in serious legal fees. Technology Description:
Clean Cam Technology Systems' (CCTS's) custom camshaft and cylinder kits modify the camshaft, cylinder liner and piston to increase the amount of the exhaust gases remaining in the combustion chamber. These modifications along with modification to the fuel injection timing and oxygen ratio allow the engine to be operated with lower emissions.

Application:
CCTS has developed custom camshaft and cylinder kits that can be used to reduce emissions from pre-2000 model year, two-stroke diesel engines. The kit can be installed during normal engine rebuild. These engines are typically used in stationary applications such as electrical power generation, pumping units, or emergency standby equipment.

Environmental Benefits:
CCTS's custom camshaft and cylinder kit reduces hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and particulate matter emission from conventional, pre-2000 model year, two-stroke diesel engines while maintaining nitrogen oxides emissions below the level of the standard.

Performance:
Verification testing found that the CCTS Cam Shaft Cylinder Reengineering Kit for application for Detroit Diesel Corporation's pre-1993 model year engine (various models) have emissions of no greater than 1.0 gram per brake horsepower-hour (g/bhp-hr) of hydrocarbons; emissions of no greater than 8.5 g/bhp-hr of carbon monoxide; emissions of no greater than 5.8 g/bhp-hr of nitrogen oxides; and emissions of no greater than 0.16 g/bhp-hr of particulate matter subject to the conditions in Air Resources Board Executive Order G-096-029-022-A.
