    PLEASE keep an eye out for a 3 year old gray female Siberian Husky that goes by the name of Natasha. Most people confuse her appearance to be of a Gray Wolf. Our two Siberian Huskies went missing this morning then the male lifted the old sash window, in the dining room, up enough to make a run for it.      A while back I posted my disbelief on the amount of kids wearing daisy duke shorts in elementary school, Patriot Elementary to be exact.  Today it looks like I went over the edge sending my daughter to school in a Sunday dress which she had to cover up.  In all fairness the kids are not allowed to have any kind of halter tops or dresses that tie behind their heads.  I can see where this could open the doors to some inappropri...

    [Editor’s note: The city of Bakersfield sent out this press release Wednesday evening. Most of the state’s 400 or so redevelopment agencies are run by cities, and most cities don’t like the idea of axing redevelopment.     The Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a man suspect of sexual assault. At 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, a 17-year-old girl encountered the suspect at the GET Bus Station in the 2100 block of Chester Avenue.     At 9:28 a.m. Wednesday, Kern County firefighters responded to an RV fire next to a structure in the 6400 block of Mohawk Street.   • Driver from vehicle submerged in Kern River identified

    The driver of a vehicle that went off the roadway Tuesday afternoon on Highway 178 and became submerged in the Kern River has been identified as 35-year-old Mark Brian Walpole.     A 20-year-old woman was sentenced to a year in jail Tuesday in connection with a fatal DUI crash over the summer.
